5 Waiver Wire Pickups For Your Fantasy Football Team in Week 13

The fantasy football season is heading into the final week of the regular season, which has put many teams with their backs against the wall for playoff contention. That has made each move extremely critical as e every spot on your roster could play a factor towards your team reaching postseason action to vie for to the championship. Without further ado, here are some options that could aid that effort.

5. Eagles D/ST

ESPN: 36.9% OWNED

In the last few weeks, the Philadelphia Eagles have become one of the more dependable defenses in the league, posting a pair of double-digit fantasy outings. Philadelphia is coming off a solid performance against the Seattle Seahawks, where they had 11 points behind six sacks, a forced fumble, and an interception.

Next on tap is the lowly Miami Dolphins, who have allowed just about every defense to feast against them. Miami is allowing a league-worst 13.1 points to opposing defense/special teams, with double-digit outings all but twice. Given the Eagles’ improved play, they could easily streamline as one of the better plays in Week 13.

4. Jack Doyle

ESPN: 43.8% OWNED

Over the last couple of seasons, the Indianapolis Colts have had a pair of reliable options at the tight end position with Jack Doyle and Eric Ebron. That has led to them handling split duties in the Colts’ passing game.

However, Ebron has been declared out for the rest of the season, which should open the door to a larger role for Doyle to take over as the primary tight end. He will be in line for some strong performances the rest of the season, and should be rostered in every league.

3. Jonathan Williams

ESPN: 29.4% OWNED

In the wake of Marlon Mack’s broken hand injury, Williams has stepped in firmly as the primary running back for the Colts’ offense. He proved that once again last Thursday night by posting his second straight 100 rushing yard performance that saw him rack up more than 20 fantasy points.

Indianapolis will continue to ride him as their main option in the running game as long as Mack remains out of the lineup. Williams looks to have a favorable matchup ahead in Week 13 against the Tennessee Titans, who are 20th against opposing running backs, allowing 21.9 points per game. The Titans are coming off giving up 32.4 points in the running game to 36.9 points to Leonard Fournette.

Williams isn’t Fournette by any means, but given that Tennesse has allowed more than 30 fantasy points to running backs twice in the last three games definitely bodes well for him.

2. Bo Scarbrough

ESPN: 48.3% OWNED

Scarbrough is yet another young running back, taking advantage of a situation that has opened up due to injury. The Alabama product has latched onto his situation by proving to be a reliable option in the running game.

Although he fumbled in the contest, Scarbrough recorded 98 rushing yards on 18 carries against the Washington Redskins. He has shown more than enough that he can handle a significant workload that will continue to be there as long as Matthew Stafford is out of the mix. In short, Scarbrough should also be rostered in every league.

1. Ryan Tannehill

ESPN: 15.4% OWNED

It has gotten to the point of taking Tannehill’s play seriously as he continues to rack up huge performances weekly. Not only did he prove that he’s a real deal fantasy option, he had one of the top performances in Week 12 action.

Tannehill has notched at least 18.9 points in each of his last five games behind his dual ability to make plays with his legs. The Titans looked to have rolled full-fledged forward with him under center. If he’s somehow still available in your league, don’t hesitate to put a waiver claim on him.
