Since then, Rodgers has put together an illustrious career that will one day land him in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He has earned numerous accolades such as a Super Bowl win, Super Bowl MVP, two regular-season MVP awards, eight Pro Bowl selections, and two First-Team nods, among other honors.
Rodgers has earned respect from his peers as one of the greatest quarterbacks in league history. With that in mind, he just shelled out some tremendous praise to Patrick Mahomes.

Aaron Rodgers is an extremely gifted quarterback that has shown he can impact many facets of the game.

“Talent-wise you know, I’ve definitely thrown with a lot of guys around the league and been a fan for a long time. I’ve never felt that there’s anybody, you know, watching them throw is, you know, that they’re head and shoulders above me.…Pat Mahomes is just, I think, the way that he plays really reminds me of myself and I say that with the utmost amount of respect and humility.
“I think I love watching him play because he runs around, he makes throws all over the place, he knows his passes and he does it with, you know, enough balance between swagger and humility.”
Rodgers is in complete awe of Mahomes’ ability on the field with his physical traits and decision-making at the quarterback position. He holds tremendous respect to what fellow former MVP brings to the table that has continued to lead the Chiefs to success.
Patrick Mahomes’ bright future ahead
It didn’t take Aaron Rodgers’ high praise to realize that Patrick Mahomes has a bright future ahead.
Mahomes has found success early on in his career that is at a nearly unmatched level. He has become the youngest to win both the MVP award and Super Bowl MVP honors. If that wasn’t enough to prove where his promising future lies, the Chiefs agreed to a 10-year extension worth potentially $503 million.
The 24-year-old is the driving force for Kansas City that could lead the franchise to many more Super Bowl over the next decade-plus. He has an opportunity ahead to establish himself as potentially the greatest quarterback in league history. Mahomes is only entering the prime, which could mean his best years may be yet to come.
All that paints a scary picture for the rest of the league with the Chiefs having in place possibly one of the greatest players who is only three years into his career. Mahomes has the chance to put his stamp on the league and take over as the face of success in Kansas City.
