Antonio Brown Will Stop Retirement Talk For 1 Team

It has been nothing short than a wild rollercoaster ride for Antonio Brown in his journey back to the NFL. Brown has dealt with many off-the-field issues that have prevented him from getting back into the league over nearly the last year. Things have taken another interesting turn as Brown has announced his retirement from the league for a third time since last playing a game. Despite that, there may be one team that could get him back in the league.

The last several months have been a difficult path for Antonio Brown to get another shot at rejoining another NFL roster.

His tenures with the Las Vegas Raiders and New England Patriots were each short-lived and saw him run himself out of the league. Many internal issues arose during his time with the Raiders that he played a significant part in creating from his frozen feet to helmet issues. That led the franchise to part ways with him.

Brown’s problems didn’t stop there as he inked a deal to join the Patriots, but that lasted roughly two weeks because of his off-the-field issues. He had a pair of sexual misconduct charges come about that ended any chance of a long-term home with New England. Since then, he went through some concerning tirades on social media while he was at the center of battery case involving a delivery driver.

All that has only made his path back to the NFL more difficult and led to him announcing his retirement on Twitter on Monday afternoon. Although he is feeling that way right now, there is one team that could change that.

Antonio Brown has delved once again into the mindset of retirement from the NFL, but the door certainly remains open toward desiring a return.

The one team that holds those cards may be the Seattle Seahawks, as they have been the one team that continues to express interest. According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, the Seahawks recently did a deep dive into his personal life that only speaks toward securing him to a deal.

“Seattle has done a deep dive on Antonio Brown They’ve done their research like they would with any free agent….They have a good grasp on Antonio Brown, the player and the person. That part is crucial because of off-the-field issues. That said, I don’t think a signing is imminent. It might not happen at all, but they are certainly monitoring the situation.

That scenario may not be imminent, but it’s clear that the pending suspension is what is holding the Seahawks and other teams back from signing him. Once that is known, there could be plenty of movement on that front. Seattle has more than enough motivation as Brown worked out with Russel Wilson earlier this month, and the star quarterback has spoken highly of him.

Ultimately, the Seahawks could be the key to his return to the league.

Will he try to continue his NFL career?

Antonio Brown’s NFL future is out of his hands due to the pending suspension that lies ahead.

However, Brown does control the narrative with how he goes about his personal life and actions. It’s a prime opportunity to prove that he has gotten a stable grip over his life away from the game and that he’s serious about playing in the NFL again.

If he can remain patient with the process, it could likely see a team take a chance because of his sheer talent. It’s on him to show that he is worth the risk by what he is doing off the field.
