Antonio Brown’s Next Possible NFL Team Should Scare the Rest of the League

Antonio Brown‘s path back to the NFL has featured many bumps along the way. Despite that, Brown has continued to move positively toward getting an opportunity to resume his football career. The star wideout‘s next shot may be in a situation that could frighten the rest of the NFL.

Antonio Brown’s rough journey back to the NFL

The last two years have been nothing short of a rollercoaster ride for Antonio Brown concerning his NFL future.

Brown went from being one of the league’s elite talents to out of a job in the prime of his career. The 32-year-old’s decision-making off the field has put him in this challenging position where he lost any opportunity to play for another team in the last two seasons.

Following Brown’s rough departure from the Pittsburgh Steelers, his tenure with the Las Vegas Raiders lasted only a few months in the offseason. His antics and behavior led the franchise parting ways with him. Despite that, the star wideout earned a chance to sign with the New England Patriots to play alongside Tom Brady, but his stint was short-lived after nearly two weeks as his off-the-field actions put him amid several legal issues.

Since then, Brown remains on the outside looking in with aspirations of getting another opportunity to resume his Hall-of-Fame caliber career. He may soon get that chance as one Super Bowl hopeful has kept their eye on him as he nears the end of his lengthy suspension.

Seahawks could make a strong push to land Antonio Brown

Throughout the entire process, Antonio Brown has continued to stay a fixture in the rumor mill regarding his next NFL stop.

Brown has kept himself out of trouble as his eight-game suspension to begin the 2020 season due to violating the league’s personal conduct policy nears an end. According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Seattle Seahawks have remained at the forefront as a possible suitor.

The Seahawks’ interest in Brown dates back to last season as the team nearly brought him aboard before signing Josh Gordon. Star quarterback Russell Wilson reportedly expressed a strong desire to play alongside the star wideout, which he aired that sentiment again during this past offseason.

Wilson’s connection to Brown doesn’t stop there as he worked out with the former All-Pro wideout over the summer. The firm bond that the two have developed over the last several months further suggests that the Seahawks will be in the mix to sign the star wide receiver.

Schefter’s reporting also stated that Seattle is “intrigued” by the idea of adding Brown to their offense that is already playing at a high level. There hasn’t been any dialogue yet toward a contract between the two sides, but it’s quite clear that the Seahawks will be in the picture as a landing spot.

The Seahawks may be in the driver’s seat to land Antonio Brown, but that hasn’t ruled out any other possible scenarios.

Adam Schefter’s reporting also stated that a few other organizations had expressed their interest in signing him. The Baltimore Ravens were previously linked to Brown, which the team quickly shot down the notion they would bring him aboard.

However, the reigning league MVP Lamar Jackson publicly voiced that he wanted the 32-year-old to join him in Baltimore. The two also held a workout together over the offseason, which amps up the possible interest. The Ravens may indulge in exploring that route now after things became crystal clear that they are still a notch below the Kansas City Chiefs.

Teams such as the Philadelphia Eagles, Houston Texans, and Green Bay Packers could all jump into the fray with needs to add more wide receiver talent. Ultimately, there should be more clarity on this front once Brown’s suspension nears an end.
