Antonio Brown’s Own Agent Doesn’t Even Want Him

The last year has been nothing short of a disaster for star wide receiver Antonio Brown‘s NFL career as he found himself out of the NFL for the 2019 season. A league investigation into the matters shrouds his struggles to sign with a team due to his ongoing legal situation. All of that, combined with his unpredictability in his behavior and social media activity, has led him even further astray from being on the NFL radar. Things have now progressed even further in the wrong direction, with his agent Drew Rosenhaus deciding to part ways with him.

Antonio Brown’s downfall

Brown was once in a promising position as one of the critical pieces of the Pittsburgh Steelers’ passing game, but that has since become a distant memory. He has since been on two more teams (Oakland Raiders, New England Patriots) in situations that both went south for different reasons.

The 31-year-old has had a steady fall from grace despite being one of the most talented players in the league, let alone top wideouts. His actions off the field with reported involvement in a pair of sexual misconduct chargers have put his NFL career on pause.

Brown is on the outside looking in, especially with the league investigation still ongoing with no indication of when a decision will be made. There is the possibility of facing punishment from the NFL, even if the cases work out in his favor.

All of that has led to another significant hit to his chances of getting back in the league anytime soon.

Drew Rosenhaus elects to drop Antonio Brown

Throughout the process, Brown has had Rosenhaus stick by his side as his agent. That doesn’t appear to be the case for the time being as he has decided to drop his client, hoping that he gets some help.

That is a major development given that Rosenhaus has had a history of dealing with high-profile clients who weren’t the easiest to handle. He has worked with the likes of Chad Johnson, Rob Gronkowski, LeSean McCoy, Jimmy Smith, Plaxico Burress, Terrell Owens, Tyreek Hill, and Warren Sapp.

Brown’s unpredictability has reached an out-of-control state as he has continued to stream on media his personal life involving the mother of his children and the police. All of that only paints the picture of his life being out of control if he’s showing videos of himself yelling and cursing at law enforcement for a matter that can be conducted away from social media.

It has all contributed to Rosenhaus pulling away from Brown while asking him to seek help to get his life sorted out. Things have reached the point where it has grown to a serious concern for his wellbeing, making change needed asap.

Antonio Brown’s NFL future is out of his hands

Although it’s quite difficult to truly get a sense of where Brown’s head is at this point, there appears to be a strong desire to prove that he can get back into the NFL.

There is no questioning his talent or ability on the field, but rather it’s his questionable decision-making that has teams concerned. He has no structure to his life that would give any franchise confidence that he could be a long-term fixture on the roster at this point.

It goes well beyond his current ongoing legal matters as he’s spiraling out of control that has even caused his longtime agent to walk away. At some point, all that is around him must provide him the clarity to get his life off the field in order so he can continue his career on it.
