Bills Fans Set Themselves on Fire Celebrating First Playoff Win in 25 Years

During the ’90s, the Buffalo Bills went to four straight Super Bowls behind quarterback Jim Kelly and head coach Marv Levy. However, the team went 0-4, losing to the New York Giants, Washington Redskins, and Dallas Cowboys twice.

Ever since Kelly retired from the NFL, the Bills have been searching for a franchise quarterback to lead them to the promised land. It’s been a long struggle for Buffalo fans, but the team finally got their gunslinger in the 2018 draft by drafting Josh Allen out of Wyoming.

As everyone knows, Bills fans are the craziest people in sports. They party and celebrate harder than any other fan base in the NFL, and things have gotten even more out of hand since the club is good again with Allen, Stefon Diggs, Cole Beasley, and Sean McDermott leading the charge.

After losing Super Bowl XXVIII to the Cowboys, the Bills missed the playoffs in 1994 before getting back in the following season. Buffalo defeated the Miami Dolphins in the Wild Card game before getting blown out by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Divisional Round.

Following their loss to the Steelers, the Bills became a walking disaster as a franchise. Although they made the playoffs in 1996, 1998, and 1999, Buffalo failed to win a game in the playoffs and then missed the postseason altogether for 17 straight seasons. The Bills made the playoffs in 2017 and 2019 but lost in the Wild Card Round.

Bills Mafia watched a bevy of head coaches and quarterbacks come through town and stink up the joint. Most NFL pundits thought Josh Allen was going to be a bust since his decision-making was poor. However, the signal-caller has silenced his doubters and is now primed to become one of the best players in Bills franchise history.

During the 2020 season, Josh Allen was a monster for the Bills, who finished with a 13-3 record. Allen threw for 4,544 yards and 37 touchdowns while completing 69.2% of his passes. The California native threw only 10 interceptions and was voted as a Pro Bowler in the AFC.

Bills fans love Allen, so much so that they raised over $483,000 in honor of Allen’s late grandma. The 6-foot-5 righty was very grateful for the support he received from Bills Mafia and stated that he wants to spend his entire career in Buffalo since the fans have treated his family as their own.

Even though the Bills went 13-3 during the 2020 regular season, fans of the club were still nervous for the team’s Wild Card game against the Indianapolis Colts since it has been 25 years since Buffalo won a playoff game. However, Josh Allen and Co. took care of business against the Colts, setting the stage for Bills Mafia to party like never before.

Bills Mafia is unmatched when it comes to celebrating

After the Bills defeated the Colts, Bills fans did their patented table celebration, and one fan caught on fire. Not even COVID-19 can stop Buffalo fans from having the time of their lives after a football game.

The Bills had fans at the Colts game. All the people in attendance were tested for COVID-19, and they certainly had a fun time watching their favorite football team win its first playoff game in 25 years.
