Dallas Cowboys Coach Mike McCarthy Has a Nice Net Worth After Finding Success With the Packers

After years of mediocrity with Jason Garrett, the Dallas Cowboys finally have a new head coach. That new head coach is someone who has had a lot of success in former Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy. Because of all of the success that McCarthy has had in the NFL, he comes to the Cowboys with an already significant net worth.

Mike McCarthy won a lot while with the Green Bay Packers

The 2006 season was the first year that Mike McCarthy was in charge of the Green Bay Packers. After only going 8-8 in his first season, McCarthy helped lead the Packers to a 13-3 record in 2007 and the NFC Championship Game.

The Packers then missed the playoffs the next season but went 11-5 in 2009. Then, in 2010, the Packers went 10-6 and made the playoffs, but that was not all they did. The Packers went on to win the Super Bowl that season.

McCarthy and the Packers could not win another Super Bowl while he was there. They did ultimately go to the playoffs in eight straight seasons from 2009 through 2016, though. Green Bay, however, got off to a 4-7-1 start in 2018 and McCarthy was fired after Week 13.

He ultimately left the Packers with a 125-77-2 record and took them to four NFC Championship Games.

The Dallas Cowboys hired McCarthy to replace Jason Garrett

For nine-and-a-half seasons, Jason Garrett was the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys. They were mediocre in the majority of those seasons too as they only went to the playoffs three times under Garrett. The Cowboys had high hopes for the 2019 season as they have a lot of talent. They went 8-8, though, which resulted in Garrett and the Cowboys parting ways.

The team then hired Mike McCarthy to be the next head coach in January.

“One of our primary goals in selecting the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys was to focus on a proven team builder and winner, someone who has a proven track record of winning, not only consistently but at the highest level,” said Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. “In Mike McCarthy, we found a coach who not only checked those boxes, but also has the experience of taking an NFL team to the biggest stage, a Super Bowl, and completing the job.”

For McCarthy, he seems to have a commitment to winning, as he did in Green Bay.

“I’m just going to say this, and to the fans, the commitment will be unwavering,” McCarthy said, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. “I won my first Super Bowl here in North Texas at AT&T Stadium. I just want to tell you I am anxious and excited to get to work on winning the next Super Bowl for the Dallas Cowboys.”

Because of McCarthy’s already proven track record, he is coming to the Dallas Cowboys with a pretty large net worth.

Already being worth a lot of money

Mike McCarthy is now the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys. However, his success on the Green Bay Packers helped him get a large net worth.

Mike McCarthy’s new deal with the Dallas Cowboys is a five-year deal, according to NFL.com. The amount is unclear. No matter how much he will make with the Cowboys, though, McCarthy already has a pretty significant net worth.

Celebrity Net Worth reports that McCarthy’s net worth is an estimated $9 million.

The Dallas Cowboys have Dak Prescott at quarterback along with Ezekiel Elliott in the backfield, and guys like Amari Cooper and CeeDee Lamb lining up at the wide receiver positions. That means McCarthy has a great chance to be very successful very quickly. If he can help lead one of the NFL’s most popular franchises to a lot of success, then that net worth will, most likely, continue to grow, and grow, and grow.
