Dennis Rodman’s Ex-Wife Has a Much Higher Net Worth Than He Does

Dennis Rodman is one of the more interesting sports figures to ever exist. From his intriguing hairdos to flashy fashion choices, he has always been very polarizing. Rodman has also had some high-profile relationships over the years. In fact, his ex-wife has a much higher net worth than he does.

A valuable player on some championship-winning teams

Dennis Rodman only averaged over 10 points per game one season in his entire career. He didn’t need to score, though. His role was to rebound, play hard defense, and to always bring the energy.

Rodman did just that as he won the Defensive Player of the Year award twice and earned All-Defensive team honors eight times. He also led the NBA in rebounding seven seasons in a row. In 1991-92, Rodman even averaged 18.7 rebounds per game.

His play led to him almost always being on some really good teams. Rodman won two NBA championships with the Detroit Pistons in 1988-89 and 1989-90. He also played for the San Antonio Spurs for two seasons and in one of those seasons, they won over 60 games and went to the Western Conference Finals. Then, of course, he was a big part of the Chicago Bulls’ three-peat from 1995-96 through 1997-98.

Dennis Rodman always brought the energy on the basketball court and it led to his teams having a lot of success.

Dennis Rodman had multiple high-profile relationships

With Dennis Rodman being a huge celebrity, he also dated some huge celebrities. One of his most popular relationships was with pop star Madonna. The two dated for a little bit in 1994, according to NBC Sports. Rodman also recently went on The Breakfast Club radio show and said that she once offered him $20 million to get her pregnant, according to Bleacher Report. The two broke up shortly after Rodman came out with his book Bad As I Wanna Be, also according to NBC Sports.

Additionally, while a relationship was never confirmed, Rodman reportedly had a fling with actress Vivica A. Fox in 1997, according to the HuffPost. He was even her date to the Academy Awards that year.

However, another one of his biggest relationships was with model/actress Carmen Electra.

Rodman married Carmen Electra

Dennis Rodman and Carmen Electra eloped to Las Vegas in 1998, according to US Weekly. They had just met that year, not long after Electra’s mother had passed away from a brain tumor, US Weekly reported.

“Dennis was the life of the party,” Electra said in 2014, according to ABC News. “He was fun. I started drinking. People couldn’t understand why I loved him. Because he had a reputation for being a bad boy. What I saw in the beginning was this sort of gentle giant.”

They were ultimately married six months, according to ABC News. “Our relationship was very passionate,” Electra said in 2014, according to ABC News. “So, when it was good, it was amazing. When it was bad, it was the worst.”

Dennis Rodman has had some financial troubles over the years, despite being a former NBA star. His lawyers said in 2012 that he could hardly afford living expenses and couldn’t pay child support, according to Business Insider. He was also scammed by a financial advisor, according to a Sports Illustrated article written in 2019.

Because of his financial troubles, Rodman’s net worth is only an estimated $500,000, according to Celebrity Net Worth

Electra, on the other hand, has still been pretty successful over the years and has a good net worth because of that. Electra’s net worth is an estimated $16 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

Dennis Rodman has certainly been successful in his lifetime. If he wants to be on the same level as his ex-wife financially, though, he has a lot of work to do.
