Draymond Green Let the World Know That He Might Be Trying to Get Devin Booker to the Warriors

This year’s NBA playoffs will look different from the Golden State Warriors, not in the picture. For the past five seasons, the Warriors played in the NBA Finals, winning three of them. Now they’re watching the NBA with the rest of the fans.

But Warriors forward Draymond Green may be doing some recruiting. During a segment of NBA on TNT, Green was talking about how Devin Booker needs to leave the Phoenix Suns.

A dynasty broke up, but why?

If everything fell the Warriors way, this team could have won five championships in a row. What an experience that would have been. Last year, the Warriors could have become the first team to win three titles in a row since the 2000-2003 LA Lakers. The 2019-20 Warriors’ roster looked a lot different from previous teams. This team had a lot of young players and new faces. The Warriors only had four players on that team who won titles (Steph Curry, Draymond Green, Klay Thompson, and Kevon Looney).

At the start of the season, the Warriors were without Thompson due to injury, and Curry was injured early in the season and had to miss a significant amount of time. It was evident that this team was not going to compete for a title. When Kevin Durant left during the offseason, there were questions on how the Warriors were going to maintain their dominance in the West. Then you have role players like Shaun Livingston retire and Andre Iguodala traded, that’s pretty much the main core of the team.

Even though the Warriors still have three of their top players, it’s going to be a challenge for them to become a top team in the Western Conference. They certainly have the talent, and Andrew Wiggins is a good addition to the team. They say good things must come to an end and for the Warriors, that happened last season. In a few years, they can find themselves right back in the championship picture.

Devin Booker has had a great career in Phoenix

Booker has been the top player on the Phoenix Suns since his rookie year. What he’s been doing on the court throughout his career is impressive. Each year Booker has improved his game, and he continues to be one of the league’s top scorers. The Suns are 4-0 during the NBA restart, and Booker has helped contribute to those victories in a big way. On Aug. 4, Booker hit a game-winning shot against the LA Clippers, which was a big win for Phoenix as they’re competing for the final playoff spot.

Booker made the All-Star team for the first time in his career during the 2019-20 season, and it won’t be his last All-Star game. Even though the Suns have not had much success as a team, Booker has been a bright spot for Phoenix. Booker will be a free agent in 2024, and if he doesn’t resign with the Suns, he will be one of the top free agents in the league.

Did Draymond Green tamper with Devin Booker?

Even though Green isn’t playing right now, he’s still a fan of the game. He’s following the NBA restart and seeing how the teams will finish up. Green was a guest on NBA on TNT, and Ernie Johnson brought up how well Booker and the Suns have played during the NBA restart. Green has noticed how well the Suns have played, and he thinks Booker needs to get out of there.

“Get my man out of Phoenix, it’s not good for him it’s not good for his career,” Green said about Booker. “I need my man to go somewhere where he can play great basketball all the time and win because he’s that type of player.” When Johnson asked Green if he was tampering, Green said maybe as he was laughing. Green could be up to something here, and if Booker did join the Warriors in the future, that would be a dynamic team full of shooters. Going forward, it’ll be interesting to see how Green responds to what he said about Booker.
