How Many Times Has Tom Brady Won the Super Bowl?

Whether you’re a football fan or not, everyone’s heard of New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady. He’s known as one of the best in the industry for his incredible plays and multiple wins for his team — and most of us are familiar with his supermodel wife, Gisele, as well. When Brady’s in game-mode, he’s seemingly unstoppable, and he just proved again that he’s a force to be reckoned with in the most recent Super Bowl against the Los Angeles Rams.

So, how many Super Bowl wins can Brady boast about, and how much longer can the aging quarterback keep up the good work? Here’s what we know.

Tom Brady has won 6 Super Bowls

If it feels like you only hear about the Patriots either being in the Super Bowl or winning the big game, it seems you’re not too far off. Not only did the New England team win against the Los Angeles Rams with a score of 13 to 3 on the Feb 3 game, but it also added another win to Brady’s stockpile. According to Romper, this puts the star quarterback at a whopping six total Super Bowl wins. The publication notes he was previously tied with former linebacker and defensive end Charles Haley for five Super Bowl wins, but with the most recent win, that puts Brady ahead.

Not only does Brady hold the record for the most Super Bowl wins, but he’s also holding down the fort for a number of other records that include appearing in the most Super Bowls, most passing yards, and the most passing touchdowns. He may not love this next record, but he’s also the oldest quarterback to start a Super Bowl, though he’s said before that his age makes little difference on his ability to play. Fans are hoping that’s true, as Pats fans can’t imagine the team without him.

Here’s his secret for staying fresh and agile

Brady’s 41, but he’s been a star player and part of a winning team for many years — and he certainly has a few tricks up his sleeve for how he stays so agile when he’s one of the oldest (if not the oldest) player on the field. And one of his biggest secrets is his nutrition plan that he calls “TB12.” With the help of alternative medicine practitioner Alex Guerrero, Brady developed his strict dietary plan that he claims is one of the biggest reasons he’s been able to play at such a high level for so long. As Brady told GQ, “I still want to reach my maximum potential, I still love doing what I do, and I want to do it as well as I can for as long as I can.”

So, what does TB12 training involve? Aside from the low-sugar, gluten-free, anti-inflammatory diet (and this includes the restriction of many veggies), Men’s Health explains that Brady’s all about “muscle pliability.” While many of us are heading to the gym to life weights, Brady prefers using elastic resistance bands, foam rollers, and massage balls to keep his muscles both strong and flexible. He associates these practices greatly with injury prevention.

How long will he play before he has to retire?

While New England fans wish Brady could play forever, fans of other teams can’t wait for the day when the star quarterback puts away his jersey for good. So, how much longer can we expect to see Brady on the field? CBS Sports reminds us he’s said in the past that he wants to play until he’s 45.

Some wondered if he would reconsider after his most recent win, however, since he now holds the record for most Super Bowls won — but Brady has repeated once again that he’s not ready to be finished just yet. As he told Tracy Wolfson post-win, “It doesn’t change anything.” It looks like we can certainly expect him back next season.
