We’ve finally made it to Week 18 of the 2022-23 NFL season, and we’ve got a doozy of a game to kick off the weekend. On Saturday night, the Jacksonville Jaguars will host the Tennessee Titans in a battle for the AFC South crown. The winner of the game will win the division, while the loser will most likely miss the playoffs.

The win-and-in showdown is already entertaining enough, but we can make it even more fun to watch by adding some action to our betting cards. So, let’s target a few first touchdown scorer picks for Jaguars-Titans and hunt for a juicy payout.

Derrick Henry +490

The only chance the Titans have of winning this game is to keep it low-scoring and not force Joshua Dobbs to do too much. Mike Vrabel knows that, so his game plan should be entirely focused on feeding No. 22 the rock.

Over the last three games in which Derrick Henry has played, the star running back has scored three of the team’s six touchdowns. This offense is only competent when Henry gets 20-plus carries, and it would be a crime if he didn’t receive closer to 30 in the must-win finale. The Titans need a strong start to be competitive in this one, so I’m expecting a heavy dose of Henry early in the game. He’s +490 at FanDuel to score the first touchdown.

Zay Jones +1100

Zay Jones is about to polish off the most productive season of his six-year NFL career. The wide receiver has already notched career-high marks in catches (78) and receiving yards (802), and he scored three touchdowns against the Dallas Cowboys just a few weeks ago.

The Titans will be focused on shutting down Christian Kirk in the passing game, and that should give Jones plenty of opportunities to create space against a banged-up secondary. Trevor Lawrence has been force-feeding his No. 2 WR in the red zone in recent weeks, so let’s hope that continues on Saturday night.

Chigoziem Okonkwo +2400

In Dobbs’ first start with the Titans last week, he targeted Austin Hooper six times and Chigoziem Okonkwo four times. He had much more success throwing to Okonkwo, though, as he connected to the rookie three times for 24 yards and Hooper just once for six yards.

Okonkwo has been impressive this season when he’s been given opportunities in the passing game. Against the Jaguars in Week 14, the tight end saw a season-high six targets and turned them into six catches for 45 yards and a touchdown. Okonkwo is my favorite longshot on the board.
