James Harden Takes Massive Shot at LeBron James, Nikola Jokic, Joel Embiid and Giannis Antetokounmpo With Bold 7-Word Statement

Brooklyn Nets superstar shooting guard James Harden has never been one to mince words, and that trend continued on Friday when he took a massive shot at LeBron James, Nikola Jokic, Joel Embiid, and Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Following his stellar performance versus the Detroit Pistons, James Harden went after Caesars Sportsbook by William Hill, as well as LeBron James, Nikola Jokic, Joel Embiid, and Giannis Antetokounmpo.

James Harden is putting up incredible numbers with the Nets

James Harden has appeared in 31 games with the Nets following his trade from the Houston Rockets. The Beard is averaging 26.0 points, 8.9 rebounds, and 11.4 assists while shooting 46.8% from the field, 36.2% from beyond the arc, and 86.0% from the free-throw line.

A nine-time All-Star, Harden already has 30 double-doubles and 11 triple-doubles on the season with the Rockets and Nets. Brooklyn is in second place in the Eastern Conference standings and riding the strong shoulders of Harden, who is playing without Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving.

During the 2017-18 season, Harden won the MVP Award with the Rockets by averaging 30.4 points and 8.8 assists and leading Houston to the NBA’s best record. The lefty has been very open about how he believes he should have more than one MVP trophy under his belt and will continue to toot his own horn.

Following his 44-point outing versus the Pistons, James Harden said a seven-word statement that certainly won’t sit well with LeBron James, Nikola Jokic, Joel Embiid, or Giannis Antetokounmpo.

James Harden: ‘I feel like I am the MVP’

According to Caesars Sportsbook by William Hill, Nikola Jokic is the current front-runner for MVP, followed by LeBron James, Joel Embiid, and Giannis Antetokounmpo. James Harden has the fifth-shortest odds at +900, but he thinks he’s the MVP.

“I feel like I am the MVP,” Harden said, via ESPN. “I mean, it’s just that simple. I don’t want to be speaking individually on myself. I am just going to leave it at that. I just go out there every single night and try to give my teammates everything I can bring to the game.”

LeBron and Embiid are both hurt right now, while Jokic and Antetokounmpo are playing exceptionally. Even though Harden is putting up astounding numbers with the Nets, the NBA media–who votes for MVP–may hold Harden’s trade request from the Rockets against him.

James Harden didn’t mention LeBron James, Nikola Jokic, Joel Embiid, or Giannis Antetokounmpo, but he was clearly taking a subtle jab at them with his MVP comments.

A title should be The Beard’s focus

James Harden should be more focused on winning his first title. That’s the only thing missing from his basketball résumé.

Once the NBA playoffs start, the Nets will be favored to win it all since they have three elite scorers in Kevin Durant, James Harden, and Kyrie Irving. Basketball fans hope that LeBron James and Anthony Davis get healthy and lead the LA Lakers to the Finals so they can see LeBron, AD, Harden, KD, and Irving in a seven-game series.
