NFL Recap: Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills Move to 2-0 With Win Over New York Giants

Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills knocked off the New York Giants in a gritty 28-14 victory Sunday, Sept. 15, 2019 at MetLife Stadium in New York to improve to 2-0 on the season and move into a tie for first place in the AFC East.

Allen passed for 253 yards and a touchdown without an interception, and he ran for another as he recorded a passer rating of 101.10.

Frank Gore rushed for 68 yards and a score, and Devin Singletary had 57 yards and a rushing TD for the Bills.

With a rushing game that produced a rushing usage index of 151.0 vs. 64.5 for the Giants, the Bills produced a total OVER (Offensive Value and Efficiency Rating) of 138.75 to get the win. On the other side of the ball, three quarterback hits and one sack helped Buffalo tally a DVS (Defensive Value Score) of 0.11 for the game, compared to 2.25 for New York Giants.

Saquon Barkley had a rushing touchdown for the Giants, and Eli Manning found T.J. Jones for a fourth-quarter TD that cut the deficit to 21-14 for the Giants, but it wasn’t enough to earn the win.
