Josh Jacobs Among 5 Essential Fantasy Football Must-Plays in Week 11
It’s yet another closer to the fantasy football playoffs with that now being less than a month away. That has ramped up the level of importance of each of the remaining matchups, with every single one being a deciding factor as to how the postseason picture shakes out. With that in mind, here are a few must-plays that should be in your starting lineup for Week 11 action.
5. D.J. Moore
ESPN PROJECTIONS: 11.7 PTS
Beyond the stellar play of star running back Christian McCaffrey, one of the most promising developments has been the steady production from Moore emerging as their top passing option from that unit. The Maryland product has shown tremendous ability to make big plays down the field while showing a great connection with quarterback Kyle Allen.
Moore has become a more consistent fantasy option as the season has worn on, which he enters Sunday’s game with back-to-back double-digit performances. What also helps his case is that he’s facing the Atlanta Falcons’ defense that ranks 26th against opposing wide receivers allowing 33.6 points per contest. All of that should equate to yet another double-digit outing.
4. Bills D/ST
ESPN PROJECTIONS: 7.7 PTS
Over the last couple of seasons, the Bills have quietly possessed one of the top defenses in the league. That has led to him being one of the more reliable options in fantasy, currently tied for the ninth-most points heading into Week 11 action.
Buffalo looks to have a favorable matchup against the lowly Miami Dolphins, who have given up the second-most points to opposing defenses this season with 13.9 points per contest. That has seen defenses notch double-digit points all but once, which should see the Bills fall within that trend to break their three-game streak falling short of that mark.
3. Devin Singletary
ESPN PROJECTIONS: 12.0 PTS
Staying with the Bills’ theme, it has seen their rookie running back carve out a significant role in the offense. Singletary has had his ups and downs throughout the year, but he has been a much more consistent option since returning from injury that could be a major fantasy factor down the stretch.
He will have the chance to tee off against one of the worst run defenses in the league that has struggled tremendously against opposing running backs, giving up 25.3 fantasy points per game. It should see him bounce back after a quiet outing against the Cleveland Browns behind a sizeable workload.
2. Josh Jacobs
ESPN PRJOECTIONS: 17.6 PTS
Speaking of rookie running backs, Jacobs has runaway as being the top of his class behind his promising production. His strong performance on the field has him in the driver’s seat to earn Offensive Rookie of the Year honors while being one of the most dependable fantasy options at his position.
That will remain the case on the road in Week 11 against the Cincinnati Bengals’ porous that is giving up 26.5 points to opposing running backs. Jacobs be the focal point of the Raiders offensive game plan behind what could be yet another stellar outing.
1. Derek Carr
ESPN PROJECTIONS: 16.5 PTS
It’s not often that a waiver-wire pickup becomes one of the top must-play options of the week, but that is the case for Carr. He has a highly favorable matchup ahead of him against the Bengals’ lackluster defense that is giving up 23.1 fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks.
The Raiders offense should see plenty of productive outings beyond Jacobs, as Carr has continued to put up solid outings as he had at least 13.1 points in his last four games, with multiple touchdown passes all but once and only turnover during that span. Carr may not be a weekly starting option, but that is unquestionably the instance in Week 11.
