LeBron James Considers Using Fortune to Make an Impactful Purchase

LA Lakers superstar LeBron James is arguably the most impactful role model of our generation. From opening a school in his hometown to fighting voter suppression during the 2020 election, James has always used his platform to instill change in America.

Despite all he’s done since entering the limelight, though, LeBron James’ latest purchase idea may turn out to be his biggest one yet.

LeBron James will never shut up and dribble

In 2018, Fox News host Laura Ingraham told LeBron James to “shut up and dribble,” basically implying that the four-time NBA champion shouldn’t speak out about social justice or political issues and should focus on playing basketball.

As he’s done throughout his life, James took the high road and continued to use his immense platform to change America for Black people. He knows how important his voice is to the community and how much change he and his team can make.

Before the 2018-19 NBA season started, LeBron helped open the I PROMISE School in Akron, Ohio. It is specifically aimed at at-risk children. The school has free tuition, free uniforms, free bicycle and helmets, free breakfast, free lunch, and free snacks.

During the school’s opening, LeBron James said the I PROMISE School is the biggest achievement of his life. However, The King may soon be topping that with another enormous investment.

LeBron James wants to buy the Atlanta Dream

Republican candidate Kelly Loeffler, a co-owner of the WNBA’s Atlanta Dream, is a polarizing figure due to her comments about the Black Lives Matter movement. She wanted the WNBA to put American flags on jerseys at the WNBA bubble this past summer instead of “Black Lives Matter” and “Say Her Name.”

Democratic candidate Raphael Warnock just defeated Loeffler in the Georgia senate race. The Dream players did a great job of campaigning for Warnock, and LeBron James is very impressed by how the women used their platform to promote positive change since Loeffler stands for bad principles.

James, along with Portland Trail Blazers star Carmelo Anthony and a slew of other athletes and celebrities, wants to make a run at becoming an owner of the Dream so Loeffler can get the boot. The Lakers forward and his group of associates have the money to get this done, so it’s going to be fascinating to see if James can add yet another life-changing coup to his résumé.

Can King James be the Michael Jordan of the WNBA?

Michael Jordan is the only majority African American owner in the NBA. The Chicago Bulls legend owns the Charlotte Hornets and is proud to represent the Black community.

LeBron James is always being compared to Jordan on the basketball court, but could The Chosen One become the WNBA’s MJ by becoming the Dream owner? It’s possible since James has the workforce to buy the Dream and get Kelly Loeffler out of Atlanta’s front office.

With Joe Biden defeating Donald Trump in the 2020 election, LeBron’s “More Than a Vote” movement succeeded with voter suppression since Trump was projected by many to win his second term. Despite opening a school, helping people who have been in jail vote again, and delivering championship No. 17 for the Lakers, James is still focused on doing more.

Kelly Loeffler is done in the senate. Now, LeBron James wants to get her away from the Dream.
