LeBron James’ Lakers Teammate Rips NBA, Believes Politics Have Kept The King From Accomplishing More

LA Lakers superstar LeBron James put on a show on Thursday against the Charlotte Hornets at Staples Center. The King finished with 37 points, eight rebounds, and six assists while shooting 14-of-22 from the field to lead the Lakers to a 116-105 win.

After the game, Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma aggressively ripped the NBA for something, and LeBron James responded to it.

Kyle Kuzma says LeBron James should have ‘at least’ 8 MVPs

Kyle Kuzma believes LeBron James should have way more than four MVPs. James is tied with Wilt Chamberlain for the third-most MVP awards of all time, but Kuzma says LeBron should have more.

“The NBA MVP is a very political award. Bron should have been the MVP at least eight, nine, 10 times. Everybody knows that,” Kuzma said, via ESPN.

It has been eight years since James last won an MVP award. He won the award during the 2012-13 season with the Miami Heat. Every NBA fan remembers James being pissed off last season when he only received 16 first-place votes. He used that as motivation to win his fourth title and fourth Finals MVP.

LeBron James is averaging 25.8 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 8.0 assists on the season while shooting 51.4% from the field and 36.7% from beyond the arc. The Lakers are 28-13, good for second place in the Western Conference standings. The Chosen One, following his stellar game against the Hornets, was asked to respond to Kyle Kuzma’s claim that he should have more than four MVPs.

LeBron James agrees with Kyle Kuzma and is hungry to be in the MVP race yet again this season. After beating the Hornets, the Lakers are now 4-0 since the All-Star break, and James is putting up monster numbers.

“I should have more than four, I believe,” James said. “But … I don’t sit around thinking about it or crying about it, or whatever the case may be. I just try to come in the next season and be the MVP and be talked about [for] it again. I bet a lot of the greatest that played this game feel like they should have more as well, if you ask any one of those guys.

“This is another opportunity for me to able to be recognized as the best player for that particular season, and this season. So, hopefully, I can continue to just play great basketball and see what happens at the end.”

Since the All-Star break, James is averaging 25.5 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 9.8 assists. The Lakers, who are still playing without Anthony Davis, have defeated the Indiana Pacers, Golden State Warriors, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Hornets.

It will be fascinating to see who the MVP is this season. Most NBA pundits believe it will come down to Joel Embiid, James Harden, and LeBron James.

NBA fans are rooting for the Lakers and Nets to meet in the Finals

NBA fans are rooting for LeBron James and the Lakers to face Kevin Durant and the Brooklyn Nets in the 2021 Finals. A seven-game series featuring James, Anthony Davis, Durant, James Harden, and Kyrie Irving would be fun to watch.

LeBron and Durant are the two best players in the NBA. They have met in the Finals three times, with KD holding a 2-1 record. However, it’s worth mentioning that Durant had to join the Golden State Warriors to defeat James.
