Uninhibited LeBron James Finally Reveals True Feelings About Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley Bashing Players in TNT Documentary ‘The Inside Story’

NBA Hall of Famers Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley never shy away from speaking their mind on TNT. Since they are two of the best players in NBA history, Shaq and Chuck believe they have earned the right to bash today’s players from time to time.

LA Lakers superstar LeBron James has occasionally been criticized by Charles Barkley, while Shaquille O’Neal usually goes after big men such as Rudy Gobert and Joel Embiid. James and Shaq were teammates on the Cleveland Cavaliers, so they have a good relationship.

In the TNT documentary “The Inside Story,” LeBron James finally revealed his true feelings about Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley sometimes ripping current NBA players, and his comments may surprise some fans.

LeBron James may not agree with everything Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley say on TNT, but the four-time NBA champion respects what they do. James respects Shaq and Chuck because they are Hall of Famers who have put the work into their new craft.

“They sit up there and they shoot they sh-t. They say what they say,” James said on the ‘The Inside Story’ documentary. “You either respect it or not. They don’t hold back, especially Chuck. But you respect it because they actually put in the work. A lot of people just think they getting up there and just riffing and things of that nature. But they’re putting in the work.”

During the 2016-17 NBA season, Barkley ripped James for telling the media that the Cavs needed more playmakers on offense. Sir Charles called LeBron a whiner and a drama queen.

James responded to Barkley by pointing out Chuck’s gambling issues and how the Hall of Famer showed up to an All-Star game late because he was partying in Las Vegas all weekend.

Since then, LeBron and Barkley have had to interact a few times on TNT for All-Star stuff. They have remained professional on TV with each other.

It’s interesting to hear LeBron James say he respects what Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley say about current players on TNT. Some of the other stars in the NBA, though, agree with The King.

Portland Trail Blazers star point guard Damian Lillard admits it kind of hurts when Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley say something negative since they are two legends. However, as expected, Lillard loves it when Shaq and Chuck say something positive.

“It’s always interesting when you see Hall of Famers up there speaking about your game,” Lillard said on ‘The Inside Story’ documentary. “When it’s negative, you’re like man, I wish they didn’t say that about me, and when it’s positive, you feel some sense of validation.”

Toronto Raptors point guard Kyle Lowry mentioned that he gets bashed a lot by Shaq and Chuck. However, the one-time champion says he appreciates the criticism because they are Hall of Famers.

As for Miami Heat forward Jimmy Butler, he notes that Shaq and Chuck always tell the truth and reveal things that players may not want to hear but need to hear.

LeBron James will never surpass Michael Jordan in Chuck’s eyes

Charles Barkley will never put LeBron James over Michael Jordan in the GOAT debate. Jordan went 6-0 in the Finals with the Chicago Bulls during the ’90s, while James is 4-6.

It will be interesting to see if Chuck changes his tune if James wins more than six titles. However, for now, Barkley has MJ as the GOAT over LeBron.
