Marshawn Lynch May Be Done Playing Football, But He Continues to Impact Lives

There have been a lot of talented running backs that have come through the NFL. One of those running backs was Marshawn Lynch. Lynch enjoyed an impressive NFL career, and he also was a well-known player throughout his time in the league. 

The talented and physical running back made his presence known on the field. He played for three different teams during his career and had a lot of individual success. Ever since he walked away from the NFL, Lynch continues to make an impact off the field.

Marshawn Lynch established himself as a productive running back during his career

Lynch began his NFL career in 2007 after he enjoyed an impressive collegiate career at California. He was a first-team All-American and was named Pac-10 Offensive Player of the Year his final season at California. The Buffalo Bills selected Lynch with the 12th overall pick in the 2007 NFL draft. In his first season, he was named the starting running back for the Bills. Lynch rushed for 1,115 yards and seven touchdowns during his rookie season. His performance allowed him to make the All-Rookie Team.

From 2007 to 2010, Lynch made a name for himself playing with the Bills. During the 2008 season, he finished with 1,036 rushing yards and eight touchdowns, and he also had 300 receiving yards. Lynch was selected to his first Pro Bowl at the end of the 2008 season as he replaced injured Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson.

After spending time with the Bills, Lynch was traded to the Seattle Seahawks in 2010. He finished the 2010 season with the Seahawks playing in 12 games while making 11 starts. Lynch finished with 573 rushing yards and six touchdowns.

Marshawn Lynch won a Super Bowl with the Seahawks

The Oakland, California native spent the majority of his career with the Seahawks. Lynch put together a nice career during his time in Seattle. He was selected to the Pro Bowl from 2011-2014 as a member of the Seahawks, and he was a first-team All-Pro Selection in 2012 and a second-team All-Pro selection in 2014.

The Seahawks were one of the top teams during the 2013 season, and Lynch played a significant role on the team that made it to the Super Bowl. During the NFC Championship game, Lynch rushed for 109 yards and a touchdown as the Seahawks defeated the San Francisco 49ers 23-17. The Seahawks won the Super Bowl as they defeated the Denver Broncos 43-8. After the Seahawks won the Super Bowl, Lynch continued to succeed on the field as he led the league in rushing touchdowns during the 2014 season. He also led the league in rushing touchdowns in 2013 as well.

When Lynch was in the league, he always looked forward to giving back to the community. Whether it was during the holidays or if he put on an event. That’s something he continues to do now that he’s no longer playing. One thing that Lynch has enjoyed doing is traveling the world. Recently he was in Hawaii, and he was in a giving mood while he was there.

According to an article from Sports Illustrated, Lynch donated 200 Turkeys to Hawaii residents. He was out delivering turkeys to residents in their cars through Lynch’s Fam 1st Family Foundation. Lynch is no stranger to giving back; in April, he was seen in his hometown of Oakland, handing out free face masks to residents. The former Super Bowl champion enjoys lending a helping hand, and that’s something he’ll continue to do in the future.
