Martina Navratilova Shares Unnecessary Personal Opinion About Naomi Osaka Yet Again On TC

The Tennis Channel broadcasters are inserting too much of their private opinions and biases on the airwaves during the 2025 Miami Open. The latest example is Martina Navratilova commenting on Naomi Osaka’s fitness during her match with Jasmine Paolini.
Brett Haber, who has been guilty of oversharing his thoughts on Emma Raducanu in a previous round in the Battle of the Emmas, asked Navratilova her opinion on Osaka’s movement and fitness.
Navratilova admitted it was better than when she returned from maternity leave, but she added her movement is not as good as before she got pregnant.
She then called Osaka’s frame “heavy” and said it takes a lot of energy to move it around.
Not The First Time Navratilova Attacked Osaka’s Physique
When Naomi Osaka returned from maternity leave in 2024, Martina Navratilova was outraged that she returned in the form she was in.
Martina Navratilova And Tennis Channel Need To Be Better
Viewers and tennis fans are tuning into the Tennis Channel for expert analysis, but this wave of personal attacks is making it more attractive to put the sound on mute and watch the players play tennis.
why is tennis channel putting martina on osaka matches that woman HATES naomi she never has a single good word to say about her. this match has lasted four games and the amount of times she has made thinly veiled comments about naomi sucking now

Martina Navratilova is a tennis legend and Hall of Famer who underwent her own physical transformation during her playing career. However, she did not have a child as a professional athlete. It is worth noting that she had kind words for Osaka in other parts of the broadcast. The shocking personal take on Osaka’s frame was uncalled for, untrue, and unnecessary to the conversation she was having with Brett Haber.
This is 2025, and there is enough slander about physical appearance on the internet. Professional athletes should be evaluated based on their performance only.
