After rallying from outside the top 10, NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver Parker Kligerman told Fox Sports that he thought he earned “the biggest win of my life.”

The Fresh From Florida 250 celebration at Daytona International Speedway proved to be short-lived, less than an hour. During post-race inspection, officials disqualified Kligerman’s No. 75 Chevrolet, handing the win to Corey Heim. Henderson Motorsports will appeal the ruling.

“It sucks for those guys,” Heim said during a press conference. “I’m certainly glad to be on the right side of it.”

NASCAR Officials Deem Parker Kligerman’s Machine Illegal

A part-time driver and television analyst, Kligerman created a late dramatic move on the outside to overcome the lead pack and take the checkered flag during an intense race. Friday’s race featured 30 lead changes.

The Henderson Motorsports machine, however, failed a height check, found to be too low in the rear, drawing the DQ. NASCAR rules state a ride can be as low as 4.5 inches at the four corners.

Heim earned his 12th win. At 22 years, 7 months, Heim became the youngest pilot to reach the milestone in circuit history.

Kligerman posted on X (Twitter) Saturday that he “will not be commenting any further until we are able to present what I believe is a very, very valid case.”
