NASCAR Truck Series Fr8 208: Qualifying, Connor Mosack’s 1st Pole Position, Lineup At Atlanta Motor Speedway

Connor Mosack endured a long wait Friday between the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver’s first- and second-round qualifying efforts at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
After placing 32nd during the season-opening event at Daytona, Mosack was scheduled to go early during the opening round and turned the second-best lap. The circuit rookie remained patient for his hot lap.
It was worth the wait.
Mosack, 26, turned a 31.969-second lap, edging Grant Enfinger (32.045 seconds). In his 13th career circuit start, Mosack earned his first pole.
“Man, it feels good,” Mosack told Fox Sports.
Enfinger, who collected six straight top-10 finishes, registered his 16th career front-row start.
On his birthday, Ben Rhodes qualified P10 and Cup Series regular Kyle Busch, who has 63 third-tier victories, begins P9.

Parker Kligerman Loses Daytona Appeal
Parker Kligerman’s heartbreak will not cease soon.
NASCAR officials on Thursday heard and denied Kligerman’s appeal regarding the season-opening disqualification after taking the Fresh From Florida 250 checkered flag at Daytona.
Driving for Henderson Motorsports, Kligerman’s No. 75 Chevrolet failed post-race inspection after the machine’s rear measured too low on the right and left sides.
“The panel confirms it is more likely than not a rules violation did occur and the disqualification penalties in Rule 10.5.2.4 necessitate a race disqualification,” read a National Motorsports Appeals Panel statement.
Update: Unfortunately we have lost our appeal regarding our disqualification from last week's race in Daytona. While we feel that we had a very strong case, we respect the panel’s decision. We’d again like to thank all the fans for their support. We’ve shown that we can compete,…
