The Cleveland Browns entered their game against the Baltimore Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium on Sunday, September 29 going off as 7-point underdogs. The Browns emerged as victors with a convincing 40-25 win over their division rivals.
Baker Mayfield had 342 passing yards, one passing touchdown, one interception, and a passer rating of 102.4 in the Browns’ win. Nick Chubb had a monster day, rushing the ball 20 times for 165 yards and three touchdowns including an 88-yard touchdown run that broke the game open in the fourth quarter. Chubb’s big day led the team to a rushing usage index of 241.25, which powered the Browns’ OVER (Offensive Value and Efficiency Rating) score of 206.13.
Cleveland’s defense made life difficult on the Ravens all afternoon, recording a DVS (Defensive Value Score) of 3.33 fueled by four sacks, five tackles for loss, and six quarterback hits. The Ravens had a DVS of only 0.3 with just one sack and one quarterback hit on the day.
Lamar Jackson finished the game with 247 passing yards, 66 rushing yards, and three passing touchdowns. But the Ravens quarterback also had two interceptions in the loss.
