NFL Update: Saquon Barkley Leaves Giants Game with an Ankle Injury
With the New York Giants trailing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 18-10 on Sunday afternoon, Saquon Barkley suffered an ankle injury. Barkley required assistance to leave the field. Per Adam Schefter, the Giants say that Barkley’s return to the game is questionable.
Before leaving the game, Barkley had only 10 rushing yards on eight carries as the Buccaneers defense honed in against the run. The Giants back also had four receptions for 27 yards.
Saquon Barkley had 227 rushing yards and a touchdown on 29 carries coming into this game against Tampa Bay. Any extended absence for the star running back would be devastating to the New York Giants and fantasy football teams around the country. This situation will be closely monitored.
