Championship week is here for fantasy football players around the world. 1.  Rob Gronkowski, New England Patriots

“Gronk” has been far and away the best tight end in professional football in 2014. In Week 16, Gronk and the Patriots will be playing the New York Jets, who are giving up the fourth-most fantasy points per game in the league to tight ends this season. The Patriots’ All-Pro tight end has re-established himself as Tom Brady’s favorite target – he is averaging 8.6 targets per game – and New England offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels clearly knows how to use him. Look for yet another huge game out of Gronk in Week 16 against the Jets.

2.  Jason Witten, Dallas Cowboys

Witten and the Cowboys will be taking on the Indianapolis Colts in Week 16. The Colts have been friendly to tight ends all season yielding the fifth-most fantasy points per game in the league to tight ends in 2014. With DeMarco Murray, the NFL’s leading rusher this season, potentially out of the lineup for the Cowboys this week, Dallas may be forced to lean on their passing attack more than usual this week. Expect to see Witten, who is averaging 5.5 targets per game this year, targeted far more than usual this week.

3.  Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs

Kelce has been a pleasant surprise for the Chiefs in 2014, and looks primed for a big game in Week 16. Kelce will be facing a Pittsburgh defense this week that is giving up the eighth-most fantasy points per game in the league to tight ends this season. The Steelers have one of the top rushing defenses in the league, which likely means the Chiefs will be looking to throw the ball more than usual this week. Kelce, who is averaging 5.1 targets per game this season, should reward his fantasy owners with a big game in Week 16.

4.  Delanie Walker, Tennessee Titans

The Tennessee Titans and the Jacksonville Jaguars will be facing off on Thursday night in Week 16. This game may be meaningless in the NFL standings, but there are multiple players who can have significant fantasy impacts for owners looking to win a championship this week. One of those players is Delanie Walker. The Titans are giving up the 11th-most fantasy points per game in the league to tight ends this season, and Walker is the Titans’ leading receiver. Expect to see Walker eclipse his per game season average of 6.9 targets in this matchup.
