Allen Put Up 238 Yards as the Buffalo Bills Took Care of the Pittsburgh Steelers 26-15

Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills took care of the Pittsburgh Steelers in a gritty 26-15 victory, Sunday, Dec. 13, 2020 in Bills Stadium in Buffalo. The Bills’ win was helped by a rushing game that produced 104 yards and no rushing touchdowns, and by a 238 yards and two touchdowns effort by Allen.

Allen helped the Bills in this victory by attempting 43 passes and completing 24 of them. This led to a final QB production of 238 yards, one interception and two touchdowns for the game.

The Bills deployed a rushing game led by Zack Moss and Devin Singletary. For the game, Moss carried the ball 13 times and rushed for 43 yards, leading to zero touchdowns. Singletary supplemented by carrying the ball seven times for a total of 32 yards. In the passing game, the Bills’ top receivers were Cole Beasley and Stefon Diggs. Beasley caught five passes for a total of 41 yards, while Diggs contributed with 130 yards from 10 passes.

The Bills were helped by a defensive effort that resulted in one sack, and two tackles for loss, to go along with one forced fumble, with one defensive touchdown.

On the losing side of the game, Ben Roethlisberger of the Steelers ended the day with two touchdowns, along with 187 yards, two interceptions, and a 65.90 passer rating.

The Steelers’ rushing game was led by James Conner and Jaylen Samuels. For the game, Conner carried the ball 10 times, rushed for 18 yards, and zero touchdowns. Samuels supplemented and carried the ball a total of four times for a total of 15 yards. Meanwhile JuJu Smith-Schuster and Diontae Johnson were the top 2 aerial passing targets for the Steelers. Smith-Schuster caught six passes from Roethlisberger for a total of 55 yards, while Johnson contributed with 40 yards from four passes.

In their loss, the Steelers defense contributed with two forced fumbles and one tackle to go along with one sack and zero defensive touchdowns. This production from the Steelers defense was not enough help get a win.

After the win, the Bills now have a 10-3 record, compared to the Steelers who now have a 11-2 record.
