Burrow and the Bengals Knocked Off the Jaguars in a Gritty 33-25 Victory

The Cincinnati Bengals knocked off the Jacksonville Jaguars in a gritty victory of 33-25, Sunday, Oct. 4, 2020 in Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati. For the win, Joe Burrow threw for 300 yards, and one touchdown. The Bengals also relied on a rushing game that produced 205 yards and two rushing touchdowns.

Burrow finished the game with one touchdown, completing 25 of 36 passes. At the end of the day, he finished with 300 yards and one interception, and a passer rating of 92.40.

The Bengals deployed a rushing game led by Giovani Bernard and Joe Mixon. For the game, Bernard carried the ball two times and rushed for 19 yards, leading to zero touchdowns. Mixon supplemented by carrying the ball 25 times for a total of 151 yards. In the passing game, the Bengals’ top receivers were Tyler Boyd and Tee Higgins. Boyd caught seven passes for a total of 90 yards, while Higgins contributed with 77 yards from four passes.

Meanwhile Robinson carried the ball 17 times for a total of 75 yards. For the passing game, the top receivers for the Jaguars included D.J. Chark Jr. and Laviska Shenault Jr.. Chark Jr. caught eight passes for a total of 95 yards, while Shenault Jr. contributed with 86 yards from five passes.

For the game, the Jaguars defensive effort yielded no forced fumbles, one tackle for loss and one sack. This was not enough to help their team to a victory.
