Jackson and the Ravens Sneaked Past the Titans in a Heart Stopping 20-13 Victory

Powered by 179 yards from Lamar Jackson, and a total team offensive output of 401 yards, the Baltimore Ravens sneaked past the Tennessee Titans in a heart stopping 20-13 victory, Sunday, Jan. 10, 2021 in Nissan Stadium in Tennessee. The Ravens rushing game contributed to this win with 236 yards and two rushing touchdowns, to support a 179 yards, zero touchdowns effort by Lamar Jackson.

Jackson finished the game with zero touchdowns, completing 17 of 24 passes. At the end of the day, he finished with 179 yards and one interception, and a passer rating of 74.80.

J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards led the rushing game for the Ravens. Dobbins rushed for 43 yards from carrying the football nine times. Dobbins was helped by Edwards who carried the football eight times for a total of 38 yards. In the passing game, Jackson was most successful throwing the ball to Willie Snead IV and Marquise Brown. Snead IV caught two passes for a total of nine yards, while Brown contributed with 109 yards from seven passes.

The Ravens’ defense contributed to the win with one sack, no forced fumbles, two tackles for loss, and scored no defensive touchdowns.

For the Titans, Ryan Tannehill ended the day having completed 18 of 26 passes, leading to 165 yards, one interception and one touchdown. His performance resulted in a QB rating of 83.00.

The Titans’ rushing game was led by Derrick Henry and Jeremy McNichols. For the game, Henry carried the ball 18 times, rushed for 40 yards, and zero touchdowns. McNichols supplemented and carried the ball a total of one time for a total of four yards. Meanwhile Nick Westbrook-Ikhine and A.J. Brown were the top 2 aerial passing targets for the Titans. Westbrook-Ikhine caught two passes from Tannehill for a total of 17 yards, while Brown contributed with 83 yards from six passes.

In their loss, the Titans defense contributed with no forced fumbles and one tackle to go along with five sacks and zero defensive touchdowns. This production from the Titans defense was not enough help get a win.

After this game, the Ravens advances to the next round of the playoffs, while the Titans gets to go home in defeat.
