Contributing to this victory, Tom Brady threw the football for 390 yards, and two touchdowns. The Buccaneers also had a rushing game that produced 51 yards and two rushing touchdowns.
Brady ended the game with 390 yards passing, to go along with two touchdowns, zero interceptions, and completing 31 of 45 passes. This performance led to a 110.40 passer rating for Brady.
The ground game for the Buccaneers saw Ke’Shawn Vaughn carrying the football 2 times, and Leonard Fournette helping with rushing the ball 14 times. The two rushers produced four yards and 49 yards respectively in a winning effort. The passing game for the Buccaneers had Brady tossing the football to Antonio Brown and Mike Evans as his most productive targets. Brown caught five passes for a net gain of 93 yards. The secondary target (Evans) caught six passes for a net contribution of 110 yards.
The Buccaneers’ defense contributed to the win with three sacks, zero forced fumbles, zero tackles for loss, and scored no defensive touchdowns.
Matt Ryan led the Falcons in a losing effort with 356 yards, completing 34 of 49 passes, no interceptions, and three touchdowns, for a QB rating of 110.60.
The rushing game for the Falcons was led by Todd Gurley and Ito Smith. For the game, Gurley rushed for minus one yard from carrying the football one time. Meanwhile Smith carried the ball 6 times for a total of 24 yards. For the passing game, the top receivers for the Falcons included Calvin Ridley and Russell Gage. Ridley caught 10 passes for a total of 163 yards, while Gage contributed with 68 yards from five passes.
In their loss, the Falcons defense contributed with one forced fumble and three tackles to go along with three sacks and no defensive touchdowns. This production from the Falcons defense was not enough help get a win.
After this game, the Buccaneers improved to a record of 9-5, while the Falcons dropped to a 4-10 record.
