Led by Wilson, the Seahawks Topped the Football Team by a Thrilling 20-15 Win

Riding a 302 yards total offensive output, the Seattle Seahawks topped the Washington Football Team in a thrilling victory of 20-15, Sunday, Dec. 20, 2020 in FedEx Field in Washington. Contributing to this victory, Russell Wilson threw the football for 121 yards, and one touchdown. The Seahawks also had a rushing game that produced 181 yards and one rushing touchdown.

Wilson helped the Seahawks in this victory by attempting 27 passes and completing 18 of them. This led to a final QB production of 121 yards, one interception and one touchdown for the game.

The Seahawks deployed a rushing game led by Chris Carson and Carlos Hyde. For the game, Carson carried the ball 15 times and rushed for 63 yards, leading to zero touchdowns. Hyde supplemented by carrying the ball two times for a total of 55 yards. In the passing game, the Seahawks’ top receivers were Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf. Lockett caught four passes for a total of 34 yards, while Metcalf contributed with 43 yards from five passes.

The Seahawks were helped by a defensive effort that resulted in four sacks, and two tackles for loss, to go along with one forced fumble, with zero defensive touchdowns.

On the losing side of the game, Dwayne Haskins of the Football Team ended the day with one touchdown, along with 295 yards, two interceptions, and a 72.90 passer rating.

The Football Team’ rushing game was led by Peyton Barber and J.D. McKissic. For the game, Barber carried the ball four times, rushed for five yards, and one touchdown. McKissic supplemented and carried the ball a total of 13 times for a total of 51 yards. Meanwhile Cam Sims and Terry McLaurin were the top 2 aerial passing targets for the Football Team. Sims caught five passes from Haskins for a total of 26 yards, while McLaurin contributed with 77 yards from seven passes.

In their loss, the Football Team defense contributed with no forced fumbles and two tackles to go along with zero sacks and no defensive touchdowns. This production from the Football Team defense was not enough help get a win.

The Seahawks walked away from the game with an improved seasonal record of 10-4. The Football Team on the other hand, dropped to 6-8 for the season.
