Ryan Tannehill and the Tennessee Titans outlasted the Chicago Bears in a tantalizing 24-17 victory, Sunday, Nov. 8, 2020 in Nissan Stadium in Tennessee. The Titans’ win was helped by a rushing game that produced 92 yards and zero rushing touchdowns, and by a 158 yards and two touchdowns effort by Tannehill.
Tannehill contributed to this win by completing 10 of 21 passes, finishing the game with 158 yards, zero interceptions, two touchdowns and a QB rating of 104.90.
The ground game for the Titans saw Derrick Henry carrying the football 21 times, and D’Onta Foreman helping with rushing the ball five times. The two rushers produced 68 yards and 11 yards respectively in a winning effort. The passing game for the Titans had Tannehill throwing the football to Cameron Batson and A.J. Brown as his most productive targets. Batson caught one pass for a net gain of six yards. The secondary target (Brown) caught four passes for a net contribution of 101 yards.
The Titans’ defense contributed to the win with three sacks, two forced fumbles, zero tackles for loss, and scored one defensive touchdown.
Compared to Tannehill of the Titans, Nick Foles of the Bears threw for 335 yards with two touchdowns, and zero interceptions, completing 36 of 52 passes, for a 99.40 passer rating.
The Bears’ rushing game was led by David Montgomery and Ryan Nall. For the game, Montgomery carried the ball 14 times, rushed for 30 yards, and zero touchdowns. Nall supplemented and carried the ball a total of zero times for a total of no yards. Meanwhile Allen Robinson and Anthony Miller were the top 2 aerial passing targets for the Bears. Robinson caught seven passes from Foles for a total of 81 yards, while Miller contributed with 59 yards from five passes.
Although their team lost the game, the Bears defense ended the game with three sacks, and two tackles for loss, to go along with no forced fumbles.
The Titans walked away from the game with a 6-2 record. The Bears, on the other hand, dropped to 5-4 for the season.
