Riding a 524 yards total offensive output, the Buffalo Bills topped the Miami Dolphins in a thrilling victory of 31-28, Sunday, Sep. 20, 2020 in Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. Contributing to this victory, Josh Allen threw the football for 417 yards, and four touchdowns. The Bills also had a rushing game that produced 111 yards and zero rushing touchdowns.
Allen helped the Bills in this victory by attempting 35 passes and completing 24 of them. This led to a final QB production of 417 yards, zero interceptions and four touchdowns for the game.
The Bills deployed a rushing game led by Zack Moss and Devin Singletary. For the game, Moss carried the ball eight times and rushed for 37 yards, leading to zero touchdowns. Singletary supplemented by carrying the ball 10 times for a total of 56 yards. In the passing game, the Bills’ top receivers were Stefon Diggs and John Brown. Diggs caught eight passes for a total of 153 yards, while Brown contributed with 82 yards from four passes.
On the defensive side of the football, the Bills produced no forced fumbles, zero tackles for loss, three sacks and zero defensive touchdowns.
Ryan Fitzpatrick led the Dolphins in a losing effort with 328 yards, completing 31 of 47 passes, no interceptions, and two touchdowns, for a QB rating of 100.30.
The rushing game for the Dolphins was led by Myles Gaskin and Matt Breida. For the game, Gaskin rushed for 46 yards from carrying the football seven times. Meanwhile Breida carried the ball 7 times for a total of 37 yards. For the passing game, the top receivers for the Dolphins included Isaiah Ford and DeVante Parker. Ford caught seven passes for a total of 76 yards, while Parker contributed with 53 yards from five passes.
In their loss, the Dolphins defense contributed with two forced fumbles and zero tackles to go along with one sack and zero defensive touchdowns. This production from the Dolphins defense was not enough help get a win.
The Bills walked away from the game with an improved seasonal record of 1-0. The Dolphins on the other hand, dropped to 0-1 for the season.
