The Cincinnati Bengals Took Care of the Tennessee Titans in a Hard-Fought Victory of 31-20

Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals took care of the Tennessee Titans in a hard-fought 31-20 victory, Sunday, Nov. 1, 2020 in Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati. The Bengals’ win was helped by a rushing game that produced 118 yards and two rushing touchdowns, and by a 249 yards and two touchdowns effort by Burrow.

Burrow finished the game completing 26 of 37 passes, to lead the way for the Bengals. He ended up with an overall QB rating of 106.70, coming from a performance that included 249 yards, two touchdowns, and zero interceptions for the game.

Giovani Bernard and Samaje Perine led the rushing game for the Bengals. Bernard rushed for 62 yards from carrying the football 15 times. Bernard was helped by Perine who carried the football 10 times for a total of 32 yards. In the passing game, Burrow was most successful throwing the ball to Tyler Boyd and Tee Higgins. Boyd caught six passes for a total of 67 yards, while Higgins contributed with 78 yards from six passes.

The Bengals were helped by a defensive effort that resulted in one sack, and two tackles for loss, to go along with no forced fumbles, with zero defensive touchdowns.

For the Titans, Ryan Tannehill ended the day having completed 18 of 30 passes, leading to 233 yards, one interception and two touchdowns. His performance resulted in a QB rating of 92.80.

The rushing game for the Titans was led by Derrick Henry and Jeremy McNichols. For the game, Henry rushed for 112 yards from carrying the football 18 times. Meanwhile McNichols carried the ball 4 times for a total of 49 yards. For the passing game, the top receivers for the Titans included A.J. Brown and Corey Davis. Brown caught four passes for a total of 24 yards, while Davis contributed with 128 yards from eight passes.

In their loss, the Titans defense contributed with zero forced fumbles and no tackles to go along with no sacks and zero defensive touchdowns. This production from the Titans defense was not enough help get a win.

With the win, the Bengals leave with a record of 1-0 for the season, while the Titans record for the season is now 0-1.
