The Dallas Cowboys Easily Defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 37-17

Riding a 513 yards total offensive output, the Dallas Cowboys easily defeated the Philadelphia Eagles in a lopsided victory of 37-17, Sunday, Dec. 27, 2020 in AT&T Stadium in Dallas. Contributing to this victory, Andy Dalton threw the football for 377 yards, and three touchdowns. The Cowboys also had a rushing game that produced 151 yards and one rushing touchdown.

Dalton finished the game with three touchdowns, completing 22 of 30 passes. At the end of the day, he finished with 377 yards and one interception, and a passer rating of 134.70.

The Cowboys deployed a rushing game led by Tony Pollard and Ezekiel Elliott. For the game, Pollard carried the ball nine times and rushed for 12 yards, leading to no touchdowns. Elliott supplemented by carrying the ball 19 times for a total of 105 yards. In the passing game, the Cowboys’ top receivers were Michael Gallup and Amari Cooper. Gallup caught six passes for a total of 121 yards, while Cooper contributed with 121 yards from four passes.

With four forced fumbles, four tackles for loss and three sacks , the Cowboys got just the defensive help it needed to get the win.

In a losing effort for the Eagles, Jalen Hurts attempted 30 passes and completed 21 of them. This performance resulted in 342 yards, two interceptions, one touchdown and a passer rating of 70.70 for the game.

The rushing game for the Eagles was led by Miles Sanders and Boston Scott. For the game, Sanders rushed for 57 yards from carrying the football 15 times. Meanwhile Scott carried the ball 2 times for a total of 17 yards. For the passing game, the top receivers for the Eagles included Quez Watkins and DeSean Jackson. Watkins caught two passes for a total of 57 yards, while Jackson contributed with 81 yards from one pass.

Although their team lost the game, the Eagles defense ended the game with two sacks, and two tackles for loss, to go along with no forced fumbles.

With the win, the Cowboys leave with a record of 6-9 for the season, while the Eagles record for the season now stands at 4-10.
