The Miami Dolphins Ran Away the New York Jets 24-0

The Miami Dolphins ran away the New York Jets in a laughable 24-0 win, Sunday, Oct. 18, 2020 in Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. They deployed a rushing game that produced 110 yards, no rushing touchdowns, to support a Tua Tagovailoa performance of nine yards and zero touchdowns.

Tagovailoa finished the game with zero touchdowns, completing 2 of 2 passes. At the end of the day, he finished with nine yards and zero interceptions, and a passer rating of 85.40.

The Dolphins deployed a rushing game led by Myles Gaskin and Matt Breida. For the game, Gaskin carried the ball 18 times and rushed for 91 yards, leading to zero touchdowns. Breida supplemented by carrying the ball six times for a total of 15 yards. In the passing game, the Dolphins’ top receivers were DeVante Parker and Jakeem Grant. Parker caught three passes for a total of 35 yards, while Grant contributed with 48 yards from four passes.

The Dolphins were helped by a defensive effort that resulted in three sacks, and three tackles for loss, to go along with zero forced fumbles, with no defensive touchdowns.

Meanwhile Johnson carried the ball 3 times for a total of 42 yards. For the passing game, the top receivers for the Jets included Breshad Perriman and Jamison Crowder. Perriman caught four passes for a total of 62 yards, while Crowder contributed with 48 yards from seven passes.

Although their team lost the game, the Jets defense ended the game with two sacks, and three tackles for loss, to go along with zero forced fumbles.

The Dolphins walked away from the game with an improved seasonal record of 1-0. The Jets on the other hand, dropped to 0-1 for the season.
