The Pittsburgh Steelers Held on Against the Baltimore Ravens in a Thrilling Victory of 28-24

Sunday, Nov. 1, 2020 in M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore was a day of celebration for the Pittsburgh Steelers fans, as their team held on against the Baltimore Ravens in a 28-24 victory. The Steelers rode a rushing game that produced 48 yards and one rushing touchdown, to go along with a Ben Roethlisberger performance of 182 yards, two touchdowns.

Roethlisberger finished the game with two touchdowns, completing 21 of 32 passes. At the end of the day, he finished with 182 yards and zero interceptions, and a passer rating of 101.30.

The ground game for the Steelers saw James Conner carrying the football 15 times, and Anthony McFarland helping with rushing the ball one time. The two rushers produced 47 yards and one yard respectively in a winning effort. The passing game for the Steelers had Roethlisberger throwing the football to Chase Claypool and JuJu Smith-Schuster as his most productive targets. Claypool caught five passes for a net gain of 42 yards. The secondary target (Smith-Schuster) caught seven passes for a net contribution of 67 yards.

Contributing to the victory was a defensive line stats of four sacks , three forced fumbles, three tackles for loss, and one defensive touchdown for the Steelers.

For the losing team, Lamar Jackson finished the game completing 13 of 28 passes to lead the way for the Ravens. This performance by Jackson led to a QB rating of 65.80, and game stats of 208 yards, two interceptions and two touchdowns.

The rushing game for the Ravens was led by J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards. For the game, Dobbins rushed for 113 yards from carrying the football 15 times. Meanwhile Edwards carried the ball 16 times for a total of 87 yards. For the passing game, the top receivers for the Ravens included Willie Snead IV and Devin Duvernay. Snead IV caught five passes for a total of 106 yards, while Duvernay contributed with 39 yards from one pass.

For the game, the Ravens defensive effort yielded two forced fumbles, two tackles for loss and two sacks. This was not enough to help their team to a victory.

After this game, the Steelers improved to a record of 1-0, while the Ravens dropped to a 0-1 record. After the win, the Steelers now have a 1-0 record, compared to the Ravens who now have 0-1 record.
