Monday, Nov. 23, 2020 in Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay was a day of celebration for the Los Angeles Rams fans, as their team held on against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a 27-24 victory. The Rams rode a rushing game that produced 37 yards and no rushing touchdowns, to go along with a Jared Goff performance of 376 yards, three touchdowns.
Goff contributed to this win by completing 39 of 51 passes, finishing the game with 376 yards, two interceptions, three touchdowns and a QB rating of 99.80.
The ground game for the Rams saw Cam Akers carrying the football 5 times, and Malcolm Brown helping with rushing the ball three times. The two rushers produced 15 yards and 20 yards respectively in a winning effort. The passing game for the Rams had Goff throwing the football to Robert Woods and Cooper Kupp as his most productive targets. Woods caught 12 passes for a net gain of 130 yards. The secondary target (Kupp) caught 11 passes for a net contribution of 145 yards.
On the defensive side of the football, the Rams produced no forced fumbles, five tackles for loss, one sack and no defensive touchdowns.
Tom Brady led the Buccaneers in a losing effort with 216 yards, completing 26 of 48 passes, two interceptions, and two touchdowns, for a QB rating of 62.50.
The rushing game for the Buccaneers was led by Ronald Jones and Leonard Fournette. For the game, Jones rushed for 24 yards from carrying the football 10 times. Meanwhile Fournette carried the ball 7 times for a total of 17 yards. For the passing game, the top receivers for the Buccaneers included Antonio Brown and Chris Godwin. Brown caught eight passes for a total of 57 yards, while Godwin contributed with 53 yards from seven passes.
For the game, the Buccaneers defensive effort yielded zero forced fumbles, one tackle for loss and zero sacks. This was not enough to help their team to a victory.
After the win, the Rams now have a 7-3 record, compared to the Buccaneers who now have a 7-4 record.
