The Ravens Rode a 355 Yards Offensive Output and Narrowly Defeated the Eagles 30-28

The Baltimore Ravens narrowly defeated the Philadelphia Eagles in a thrilling victory of 30-28, Sunday, Oct. 18, 2020 in Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. For the win, Lamar Jackson threw for 186 yards, and one touchdown. The Ravens also relied on a rushing game that produced 182 yards and two rushing touchdowns.

Jackson finished the game completing 16 of 27 passes, to lead the way for the Ravens. He ended up with an overall QB rating of 92.50, coming from a performance that included 186 yards, one touchdown, and no interceptions for the game.

The ground game for the Ravens saw J.K. Dobbins carrying the football 9 times, and Gus Edwards helping with rushing the ball 14 times. The two rushers produced 28 yards and 26 yards respectively in a winning effort. The passing game for the Ravens had Jackson throwing the football to Willie Snead IV and Marquise Brown as his most productive targets. Snead IV caught one pass for a net gain of 32 yards. The secondary target (Brown) caught four passes for a net contribution of 57 yards.

On the defensive side of the football, the Ravens produced four forced fumbles, six tackles for loss, six sacks and zero defensive touchdowns.

Compared to Jackson of the Ravens, Carson Wentz of the Eagles threw for 213 yards with two touchdowns, and no interceptions, completing 21 of 40 passes, for a 84.70 passer rating.

The rushing game for the Eagles was led by Miles Sanders and Boston Scott. For the game, Sanders rushed for 118 yards from carrying the football nine times. Meanwhile Scott carried the ball 2 times for a total of four yards. For the passing game, the top receivers for the Eagles included John Hightower and Travis Fulgham. Hightower caught one pass for a total of 50 yards, while Fulgham contributed with 75 yards from six passes.

In a losing effort, the Eagles defense contributed with three sacks , two forced fumbles, one tackle for loss, and one defensive touchdown for the game.

The Ravens walked away from the game with an improved seasonal record of 1-0. The Eagles on the other hand, dropped to 0-1 for the season.
