The Ravens Took Care of the Football Team in a Hard-Fought 31-17 Win

Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens took care of the Washington Football Team in a hard-fought 31-17 victory, Sunday, Oct. 4, 2020 in FedEx Field in Washington. The Ravens’ win was helped by a rushing game that produced 144 yards and two rushing touchdowns, and by a 193 yards and two touchdowns effort by Jackson.

Jackson finished the game with two touchdowns, completing 14 of 21 passes. At the end of the day, he finished with 193 yards and one interception, and a passer rating of 107.80.

The ground game for the Ravens saw Mark Ingram II carrying the football 8 times, and Gus Edwards helping with rushing the ball nine times. The two rushers produced 34 yards and 38 yards respectively in a winning effort. The passing game for the Ravens had Jackson throwing the football to Miles Boykin and Marquise Brown as his most productive targets. Boykin caught two passes for a net gain of 28 yards. The secondary target (Brown) caught four passes for a net contribution of 86 yards.

Contributing to the victory was a defensive line stats of three sacks , one forced fumble, two tackles for loss, and zero defensive touchdowns for the Ravens.

In a losing effort for the Football Team, Dwayne Haskins attempted 21 passes and completed 32 of them. This performance resulted in 314 yards, no interceptions, no touchdowns and a passer rating of 90.40 for the game.

The rushing game for the Football Team was led by J.D. McKissic and Antonio Gibson. For the game, McKissic rushed for six yards from carrying the football two times. Meanwhile Gibson carried the ball 13 times for a total of 46 yards. For the passing game, the top receivers for the Football Team included Terry McLaurin and Dontrelle Inman. McLaurin caught 10 passes for a total of 118 yards, while Inman contributed with 29 yards from four passes.

In their loss, the Football Team defense contributed with no forced fumbles and three tackles to go along with one sack and zero defensive touchdowns. This production from the Football Team defense was not enough help get a win.

The Ravens walked away from the game with an improved seasonal record of 1-0. The Football Team on the other hand, dropped to 0-1 for the season.
