The Titans Blew Out the Jaguars in a Embarrassingly Lopsided 31-10 Win

Sunday, Dec. 13, 2020 in TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville was a day of celebration for the Tennessee Titans fans, as their team blew out the Jacksonville Jaguars in a 31-10 victory. The Titans rode a rushing game that produced 249 yards and two rushing touchdowns, to go along with a Ryan Tannehill performance of 212 yards, two touchdowns.

Tannehill finished the game with two touchdowns, completing 19 of 24 passes. At the end of the day, he finished with 212 yards and zero interceptions, and a passer rating of 131.20.

The ground game for the Titans saw Jeremy McNichols carrying the football 11 times, and Derrick Henry helping with rushing the ball 26 times. The two rushers produced nine yards and 215 yards respectively in a winning effort. The passing game for the Titans had Tannehill tossing the football to Corey Davis and A.J. Brown as his most productive targets. Davis caught three passes for a net gain of 34 yards. The secondary target (Brown) caught seven passes for a net contribution of 112 yards.

With zero forced fumbles, four tackles for loss and no sacks , the Titans got just the defensive help it needed to get the win.

Gardner Minshew II led the Jaguars in a losing effort with 178 yards, completing 18 of 31 passes, no interceptions, and one touchdown, for a QB rating of 85.20.

The rushing game for the Jaguars was led by James Robinson and Dare Ogunbowale. For the game, Robinson rushed for 67 yards from carrying the football 12 times. Meanwhile Ogunbowale carried the ball 0 times for a total of zero yards. For the passing game, the top receivers for the Jaguars included Laviska Shenault Jr. and Keelan Cole Sr.. Shenault Jr. caught six passes for a total of 49 yards, while Cole Sr. contributed with 67 yards from seven passes.

In a losing effort, the Jaguars defense contributed with one sack , one forced fumble, two tackles for loss, and no defensive touchdowns for the game.

With the win, the Titans leave with a record of 9-4 for the season, while the Jaguars record for the season now stands at 1-12.
