In a few years, the White Sox can become one of the top teams in the American League. The White Sox have not had a winning season since 2012 when they finished 85-77. Their last World Series title came in 2005. Over the past few years, the White Sox have had many talented players throughout their minor league system. Now, some of those players have made their way to the team.

Chicago has one of the most exciting players in the MLB in Tim Anderson, who brings the intensity every time he steps on the field. He is a perfect fit for the White Sox. Anderson won the AL batting title in 2019 after posting a .335 average. You look through the White Sox’s roster, and you will see other talented young players. Yoan Moncada is another player to look out for. He had a breakout year in 2019, hitting .315 with 25 home runs and 79 RBIs. Moncada displays a lot of power at the plate.

Eloy Jimenez is another player that has a lot of talent. During his rookie season, he hit 31 home runs in 122 games during the 2019 season. He finished fourth in the Rookie of the Year voting after putting together an impressive season. Jimenez is only 23, and he will continue to get better throughout his career. Chicago has a talented pitcher in Lucas Giolito, who posted a 14-9 record with a 3.41 ERA last season. He made the All-Star team and finished sixth in the Cy Young. Those are just some of the players that are on this talented White Sox team. Chicago should have a lot of success within the next few years.

The last time a team hit four consecutive home runs in a game

There have been 10 occasions where an MLB team has hit four consecutive home runs during a game. The first in MLB history came on June 8, 1961. The Milwaukee Braves did it against the Cincinnati Reds. The last time a team did, it was not too long ago. In fact it happened last season.

The Washington Nationals did it on June 9, 2019, against the San Diego Padres. Howie Kendrick, Trea Turner, Adam Eaton, and Anthony Render homered in the eighth inning. The Nationals took a 5-1 lead after hitting four consecutive home runs and won game 5-2. The Nationals also went on to win the 2019 World Series.

How did the four consecutive home runs happen for the White Sox?

The White Sox took on the Cardinals and Cardinals pitcher Roel Ramirez made his first career start. Chicago went into the fifth inning, holding a 1-0 lead, and then the home runs came in a bunch. With two outs, Yoani Moncada got things started launching a three-run shot to right field. Then Yasmani Grandal followed that up with a solo shot to right, which was his first home run.

But the White Sox weren’t done. Jose Abreu joined the party and hit a solo shot to left field, and then Eloy Jimenez ended it by hitting a solo shot to left field. Unfortunately for Cardinals pitcher Ramirez, his first start did not go the way he wanted it to. This was the second time the franchise hit four home runs in a row, with the last one coming on Aug. 14, 2008. This White Sox team has a lot of talent and is a team that people should watch out for.
