Tom Brady Finds Out the Hard Way He’s Not Above the Law

In the weeks that have followed Tom Brady‘s decision to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in free agency, it has been a significant adjustment period for him. Brady has walked into an entirely new situation with more challenges ahead of his 21st season. However, the concern over the coronavirus has amplified the difficulties of working through that process early in the offseason. All of that led to Brady make a sneaky move in an attempt to put in a workout and suffered the consequences.

Tom Brady’s move to Tampa Bay

Following months of anticipation, Brady decided to leave the Patriots after 20 seasons then signed with the Buccaneers.

It has opened up a new chapter in the 42-year-old’s career that has followed with some significant changes. That has put him in new surroundings as he has moved his family down to Tampa Bay, where’s currently renting out baseball Hall of Famer Derek Jeter’s 30,000-square-foot mansion in the area.

Brady has already begun to embrace the situation that has seen him reach out to his new teammates despite the current circumstances in the country concerning the coronavirus. That alone has put all sports leagues in a tight spot of having to navigate through the matter.

Like the other professional sports leagues, the NFL has decided to shut down all of their team practice facilities and other team-related activities. That extra hurdle in the way this offseason led Brady to go an unexpected route to get a workout in and he ended paying the price.

Tom Brady kicked out of Tampa Bay park

Like many other NFL players and professional athletes, Brady has looked for ways to stay in shape during this trying time in the country and around the globe.

However, the future Hall of Famer recently tried to sidestep the law to keep himself in shape for the expected upcoming 2020 season. During an update on the virus situation in Tampa Bay, mayor Jane Castor revealed that a warden had seen someone workout alone at one of the city’s local parks, which turned out to be Brady, and he was kicked out of the location due to it being closed.

“I got to tell you this story, too. I always tell people, ‘Now I’m not one to gossip so you didn’t hear this from me. But you know our parks are closed down and so a lot of our parks staff, they patrol around just to make sure people aren’t doing contact sports and things and saw an individual working out in one of our downtown parks. And she went over to tell him that it was closed and it was Tom Brady.”

Although Brady is one of the most recognizable professional athletes in the country, he’s also not above the law. It was a silly move for him to attempt to put in a workout at a closed park in the first place. There is a great deal of concern over the coronavirus, and venturing that route was nothing short of foolish.

Like everyone else, Brady will have to find another means of getting in a personal workout.

Tom Brady ramping up for 2020 season

Although it’s a bit of an embarrassing situation that Brady was involved with recently, it does show that he’s looking to find ways to get ready for the 2020 campaign.

It’s an entirely new set of challenges that will likely test him in ways that he has never been before in his illustrious career. He’s heading into his 21st season with the task of picking up a new playbook and learning and building chemistry with his Buccaneers teammates.

That presents an uphill battle for him in its own right, but he looks to be ready for the obstacles that will come.
