Arsenal and Manchester City stars, including Gabriel Magalhaes and Ederson were booed by their Brazil supporters after a disappointing draw with Uruguay. Arsenal & Manchester City Stars Booed By Furious Brazil Fans The Brazilian national team has been on a disappointing run in recent months and this was topped off by two draws during this international break. Selecao were held to a 1-1 stalemate by Uruguay in their most recent clash and the supporters showed their frustration after the match. Arsenal duo, Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Magalhaes received loud boos from their home support, with the latter starting and the former coming off the bench. Similarly, Manchester City’s Ederson and Savinho were in action with both starting the match and the City shot-stopper has been heavily criticised for his recent performances. Uruguay’s goal came after a mix up at the back from the Brazil defence and Federico Valverde was there to unleash a strike into the bottom right corner. Drawing 1-1 is not the end of the world for Brazil, as they are still in a strong position to finish in the top six – which is all that’s needed at this stage. Brazil are in fifth, two points behind Uruguay and have a five point lead over Bolivia in seventh place to give some the five-time World Cup winners some breathing space. Things will need to improve for the infamous footballing side, especially given the fact that they are one of the favourites to win the 2026 World Cup on UK betting sites. Manchester City’s summer signing, Savinho, continues to be scrutinised for his performances in the yellow and green after scoring just one goal in 11 appearances. Similarly, Gabriel Martinelli’s performances have left much to be desired and the Arsenal star has taken a place on the bench for his last nine involvements for Brazil. The 23-year-old has scored just two goals in 16 appearances for the national team and Dorival Junior does not appear to be very keen on playing Martinelli on a more consistent basis.
