English golfing star Charley Hull made a surprising admission ahead of this week’s PIF Saudi Ladies International, where a prize put of £3.9 million will be up for grabs. Charley Hull Makes Shocking Admission Ahead Of £3.9M Saudi Golf Event Charley Hull is one of the most popular female golfers in the world. Whether it be her talent on the course, her interaction with fans or the fact she has been seen smoking on the golf course on several occasions, the English golfer is firmly a fan-favourite. This week, Hull is competing in the PIF Saudi Ladies International in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. After two rounds, Hull is eight shots off the lead and looks like she mightn’t be in with a chance of winning come Sunday. However, she still has a great chance of winning big money as part of the staggering £3.9 million prize pot. Besides her skills with a golf club in her hands, Hull admitted pre-tournament that her real passion was actually something outside of golf all together. Despite boasting an impressive streak of eight consecutive Top 20 spots, the 28-year-old has admitted that her focus likes with training for something else, rather than solely on mastering the greens. Hull has admitted that her real passion lies in fitness training, whether that be in the gym or out running. The Kettering-born golfer is often seen putting the work in the gym and the treadmill on her Instagram, where she sometimes even does multiple sessions a day between her golf practice. In particular, Hull has admitted that she is more concerned about setting a new 5km personal best, rather than training her golf skills. Fitness of course goes hand in hand with golf though, with Hull being in top condition helping her succeed on the course too. She still practices her golf game a lot, hence why she is one of the best and most famous female golfers in the world. Hull: ‘I Don’t Want To Just Be A Golfer’ Despite golf being her day-to-day job where she travels around the world, makes great money and her talent lies, it’s running and setting person bests in the gym that really gets Charley Hull motivated. In a recent interview with Sky Sports prior to the PIF Saudi Ladies International, Hull admitted that she doesn’t train golf much, and wants to be seen as more of an all-round athlete rather than just a golfer: “My main goal actually isn’t on the golf course. I want to try and get my 5k run time down to 20 minutes by the end of the year. It’s around 26 minutes at the moment. “I don’t train in golf – I have zero interest in training in golf. I don’t want to just be a golfer, I want to be an athlete. It’s good for my mental health and it’s good for me. I just enjoy it as a hobby,” Hull admitted. Although Hull is evidently a world class golfer, it is fitness and being an athlete that is her main focus right now. That being said, she is an elite performer on the golf course too and is a great role model for young aspiring female golfers. Hull currently sits eight shots off the lead, just inside the Top 20 in the PIF Saudi Ladies International. She is a huge outsider with the best golf betting sites to win come Sunday, but looks nailed on for another Top 20 finish if she has a decent weekend.
