Former UEFA Champions League star Douglas Costa has confirmed that he has joined subscription platform OnlyFans. The announcement comes just days after the ex-Bayern Munich and Juventus winger completed a move to Australian side Sydney FC. Costa completed his move Down Under on September 2. Now, he is set to create his own behind-the-scenes content after joining a growing list of athletes who are also sharing similar footage. Famed for its adult entertainment content, OnlyFans is looking to steer itself into a new direction. In essence, they want to replicate and mirror the likes of YouTube and TikTok. Therefore, Costa’s content would be clean as the company looks to lure athletes and sporting personalities to further and diversify its huge audience. Douglas Costa OnlyFans: Brazil Star Joins Subscription Platform “I decided to join OnlyFans because I believe in the company’s credibility and potential for global reach. Together, this partnership has everything to be very interesting and successful,” Costa explained. “The segment in which OnlyFans seeks to have athletes as brand ambassadors greatly impacts the market, and I am more than happy to be part of it, especially as one of the pioneers in the soccer segment. “As an OnlyFans creator, I will create exclusive content for my fans that they won’t be able to see on any other social media, and it will make a great difference. “I hope this partnership will be lasting and I can make my fans happy with my content,” Costa concluded. The Brazilian is not the first big name sports star to take the plunge. Tennis star Nick Kyrgios and heavyweight boxer Derek Chisora are also looking to take advantage of the platform’s huge potential. In the not so distant future, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see a plethora of Premier League stars turn their attentions to OnlyFans in a bid to increase their reach to fans and supporters.
