Ange Spurs

Spurs fans are looking to the next Tottenham manager betting odds market in case current boss Ange Postecoglou is shown the door as the North London side’s poor season continues.

Tottenham are in the bottom half of the Premier League and were knocked out of the FA Cup and League Cup in February.

All that is left to potentially salvage their season is the Europe League after they scraped past AZ Alkmaar in their Round of 16 tie.

The experts are saying that if Spurs do sack Postecoglou, then Fulham and Bournemouth managers Marco Silva and Andoni Iraola are fancied – but could they turn to their former manager Mauricio Pochettino?

Commentary: sportscasting.com/uk spokesman Andy Newton reacted to our Next Tottenham Manager Betting Odds’ saying:

“The old ‘Spursy’ saying has raised its head again this season, with the North London side having shown glimmers of class, only to let themselves down by losing to a string of mediocre sides.

“Therefore, the jury is very much out on whether Ange Postecoglou is taking Spurs on a forward trajectory. The end of the road could be nigh for Ange.

“Former Lilywhites boss Mauricio Pochettino has been recently quoted as saying he’d like to return to the club as manager again one day – could that day be soon?

“Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola is earning rave reviews for turning the South Coast club’s fortunes around – bringing in an exciting brand of football to boot.

“However, Kieran McKenna has impressed a lot at Ipswich and being a former youth player at the North London club this link could be an interesting factor in him getting the job.”

We also look at six possible Ange Postecoglou replacements here.

Mauricio Pochettino New Favourite in Next Tottenham Manager Odds Betting

Mauricio Pochettino
Mauricio Pochettino

In a recent interview, former Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino expressed a desire to return to the North London club one day as manager. In light of this, the SportsCasting traders and best betting sites in the UK  have made the Argentinian favourite in their most recent update for the next Tottenham manager odds.

During a five-year stint at Tottenham, Pochettino led them to the heights of a Champions League final and to a league-high finish of 2nd, which is the best they have achieved in the Premier League era. He was eventually replaced by Jose Mourinho.

The Spurs faithful support have always held ‘Poch’ in high regard and a return would likely be popular with the fanbase. However, in order for this to happen there would likely need to be a different approach to the transfer market as tensions arose between Pochettino and chairman Daniel Levy during his previous stint.

Andoni Iraola Also In The Hunt To Be Next Tottenham Manager

Next Spurs Manager Speculation Intensifies - Poch Return On The Cards?
Andoni Iraola

Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola has plenty of admirers in the game, having turned the Cherries from relegation battlers to European challengers. He is the 3/1 second favourite.

The Spaniard became the manager of the Vitality Stadium club in June 2023 – and they have significantly improved fortunes since then.

The brand of football played by Bournemouth is considered to be exciting – this might be viewed as an attractive proposition to Spurs Chairman Daniel Levy.

Ange Postecoglou earned rave reviews for his fearless style of play in his first season at Spurs but their fortunes on the pitch have taken a turn for the worst, making Iraola a potential candidate in the next Tottenham manager odds market.

Ex-Everton Manager Marco Silva In Running To Be Next Spurs Boss

Marco Silva

The current Fulham manager Marco Silva has also been on the radar with many clubs that might be searching for a new manager – and that could be Tottenham if results don’t go well.

Since taking over at Craven Cottage in July 2021, Silva has improved the South London side to become an established Premier League side and could be ready to make the move to the north of the capital if Postecoglou is shown the door.

Silva was also manager at Everton between May 2018 and December 2019, while before that was in charge at both Watford and Hull, so has plenty of experience now of English football management.

Marco Silva has been installed as the general 5/1 third favourite – just ahead of McKenna – in the next Tottenham manager odds market.

Could The Next Tottenham Manager Be A Former Youth Player?

Kieran McKenna

With the pressure growing on Ange Postecoglou, the SportsCasting traders and best football betting sites in the UK have several names topping the list to be the next Tottenham manager – including a former youth player at the club.

Kieran McKenna spent seven years as a Spurs youth player between 2002 and 2009, so could this link for the current Ipswich boss be key to him being the next manager at the struggling North London side?

McKenna impressed many in getting Ipswich promoted last season to the Premier League, though they are very likely to be relegated this time around.

At this stage, McKenna is one of the front runners in the betting, should Spurs sack Postecoglou.

Could Levy Raid Celtic Again? Former Leicester Boss Monitored

Brendan Rodgers

Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers could potentially follow Ange Postecoglou into the big job at Tottenham, according to the oddsmakers.

While the Northern Irishman came tantalisingly close to the Premier League title with Liverpool in 2014 and later achieved FA Cup glory with Leicester City in 2021, his legacy at both clubs remains complex with them being left in a poorer state than when he took over initially.

At odds of 8/1, Rodgers is the fifth favourite. With the Glasgow-based club on for yet another treble this season and having made it to the knockout stages of the Champions League, his chances of another big move to the Premier League have been done no harm at all.

Could Spurs Go Dutch? Former Man Utd Manager Also Not Ruled Out

The market is also seeing a former Manchester United manager near the head of the betting – recently sacked Erik ten Hag.

Ten Hag was eventually given the boot at the end of October after succumbing to one lifeline too many.

But being another who is now a free agent he’s not ruled out of a quick return to management at Spurs at just 9/1.

Despite his up-and-down tenure at Old Trafford the Dutchman still won two trophies at United (FA and EFL Cups) – something Spurs fans would more than welcome at the moment.
