James Maddison Provides Only Goal As Tottenham Hotspur Earn Narrow Victory Over Manchester United

Manchester United suffered another defeat in the Premier League, losing 1-0 to Tottenham Hotspur and you can watch the highlights below.
Spurs Inflict More Damage On Red Devils
Ange Postecolgou’s side, who were slight favourites on UK betting sites going into the match, secured a vital three points over Manchester United, meaning the Lilywhites leapfrog the Red Devils in the table.
The hosts made an electric start to the match, with the likes of Dejan Kulusevski and Son Heung-Min threatening down both flanks.
However it was United that almost broke the deadlock, as Rasmus Hojlund and Alejandro Garnacho forced strong saves from Guglielmo Vicario.
Spurs eventually found their goal after 13 minutes, as James Maddison was the quickest to react to Lucas Bergvall’s effort and placed the ball into the back of the net.
United showed signs of promise going forward but their forwards failed tom put the finishing touch on some nice passages of play.
Mathys Tel almost scored his first goal for Tottenham on his Premier League debut, however, Andre Onana was there to make a superb stop and keep the scoreline at 1-0 going into the break.
The second-half got underway and it did not get off to a strong start with both sides failing to offer much quality in the opening stages.
United created the first real chance as Garnacho was thwarted by Vicario once again and Joshua Zirkzee had the best chance of the half as his header flew past the post.
Neither side posed much of a threat towards the end of the match and Tottenham held on to earn a vital three points which moves the Lilywhites up to 12th.
