The new Watford FC home kit for 2025-26 is here, and fans are less than happy with their club’s new shirt offering.
One of the most hotly-anticipated days for any football fan is the new season’s kit release.
The excitement of seeing your team’s new threads is a big part of the summer schedule.
But for Watford fans, many have been left disappointed.
That’s because the new Watford home kit has been dubbed as ‘one of the worst ever’ by more than a few supporters.
Watford Home Kit 2025-26 Released
Featuring the classic yellow of Watford, the new shirt has ditched the black stripes of recent seasons.
Instead, the yellow is adorned with red vertical stripes that fade into the top of the jersey.

But the most glaring visual is that of front-of-shirt sponsor Mr Q Casino.
The bright blue betting site logo clashes horribly with the shirt’s stripes.
And fans have been quick to call out just how bad the shirt looks with that particular sponsor.
Fans Mock ‘Dire’ New Watford Shirt
Following the Watford home shirt release, the club’s social media accounts were inundated with angry fans mocking the ‘awful’ new kit.
One said: “Worst kit we’ve ever had. Hornets are black & yellow.”
Another added:”It looks like a casino threw up on a sunflower.”
And a third said: “Looks like a Spanish second devision kit, awful.”
Even rival fans were sticking the boot in.
One Blackburn supporter said: “Watford might have just come out with the worst home kit I’ve ever seen.
“Makes me grateful for ours.”
Watford Release Home Kit Without Sponsor Logo
Such has been the reaction from Watford’s fanbase that the club have released a statement explaining the unwanted sponsor logo.
In a Facebook post, the club said: “The logo on our new shirt isn’t to everyone’s tatse.
“We really liked the previous black logo and we had lots of dialogue over the summer as we wanted to keep it black to compliment the new shirt.
“But our sponsors were insistent on their rebrand. Some may like it, some may not.
“And for those who don’t you can join the queue and get your unbranded shirt.”
