Former Chelsea manager Graham Potter insists he’s ‘open to anything’ as he discusses potential managerial roles, including Manchester United and England.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Graham Potter has been a constant subject of speculation in recent months, with his name being linked to both the Manchester United<\/a> and England<\/a> managerial positions.<\/p>\n

The former Brighton and Chelsea boss has now addressed these rumours, stating that he is open to any opportunity that comes his way.<\/p>\n

Potter was dismissed from his role at Chelsea in April 2023 after a disappointing run of results left the Blues 11th in the Premier League table.<\/p>\n

Despite his departure from Stamford Bridge, the 49-year-old has remained a highly sought-after manager. His impressive track record, which includes successful spells at Ostersunds, Swansea, and Brighton, has made him a target for several top clubs.<\/p>\n

Graham Potter Addresses Manchester United Speculation<\/h2>\n

With Erik ten Hag’s<\/a> position at Man United under increasing pressure following a series of poor performances, Potter’s name has been mentioned as a potential replacement.<\/p>\n

“Jobs are difficult. That’s the reality of life in the Premier League. If you’re a big club like Manchester United and you’re not in the top six, then there’s always going to be scrutiny,”<\/span> he added.<\/p>\n

Potter has also been linked with the England national team job over the past number of months. The FA are searching for a new permanent manager after Gareth Southgate stepped down following Euro 2024.<\/p>\n

When asked about the possibility of taking over the England job, Potter said, “As an Englishman, of course, it’s a fantastic job, but I’m supportive of whatever the FA decide to do and whoever the coach is.”<\/span><\/p>\n

He also expressed his admiration for Southgate’s work with the national team: “I think Gareth [Southgate] did a fantastic job, and I’m sure Lee [Carsley]\u2014for however long it is\u2014will do really well.”<\/p>\n

While Potter remains open to both club and international opportunities, he is keen to continue developing his managerial career.<\/p>\n

“I’ve had a fantastic journey over the last 12 years from the fourth tier of Swedish football to the last eight of the Champions League, and I would like to spend the next 12 years in the same position, developing players, teams, working with people, and making a difference,” he said.<\/p>\n
