Jockey-of-the-moment Rossa Ryan, who landed the 2024 Prix de l\u2019Arc de Triomphe on Sunday, is having to put his celebrations on hold with four rides at Pontefract on Monday (7th Oct).<\/strong><\/p>\n

Arc-Winning Jockey Rossa Ryan Back Down To Earth With Four Rides At Pontefract On Monday<\/strong><\/h2>\n

On Sunday, jockey Rossa Ryan steered home the biggest win of his horse racing<\/a> career – when guiding Bluestocking<\/strong> to win the 2024 Prix de l\u2019Arc de Triomphe<\/strong> for trainer Ralph Beckett (watch below).<\/p>\n

However, despite a late afternoon and evening of celebrations, Ryan has had to quickly get back down to earth with four booked rides at Pontefract on Monday 7th October – with the first of these for the Arc-winning yard of Ralph Beckett when Rossa Ryan gets the leg-up on the hot favourite with the best horse racing betting sites in the UK<\/a>, Sir Dinadan (2:27pm)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This 2 year-old Camelot colt is having just his third career run but took a big step forward last time out at Haydock when second of five over a mile and looks the sort to relish the further step up in trip to 1m2f.<\/p>\n

While trainer Ralph Beckett also has a cracking 32% strike-rate with his 2 year-olds at Pontefract and Rossa Ryan has an even better 42% SR riding juveniles at the track, which bodes well for the chances of Sir Dinadan.<\/p>\n

Ryan will then partner Radiant Beauty (3:02pm)<\/strong> for former Grand National-winning trainer Dr Richard Newland, who has a rare runner on the flat – but at 20\/1 with the best betting sites this looks the Rossa Ryan-ridden horse with the hardest chance of winning on Monday.<\/p>\n

Cinnodin (3:37pm)<\/strong> and Harry’s Halo (5:20pm)<\/strong> will round off the quartet of Rossa Ryan rides at Pontefract and these last two seem to have every chance of getting the Arc-winning rider into the winners’ enclousure again.<\/p>\n

Harry’s Halo is a proven course and distance winner, having won at Pontefract back in 2023, while Cinnodin has won five of his 21 career starts and heads here off the back of an excellent second at Kempton Park.<\/p>\n

Rossa Ryan has an overall 30% strike-rate at Pontefract at the moment – having ridden 14 winners from his last 47 rides at the track.<\/p>\n
