Manchester United legend Roy Keane has ruled himself out of a potential interim managerial role at Old Trafford, citing a lack of authority as the primary obstacle.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The former midfield maestro, renown for his no-nonsense approach, expressed concerns about the current state of affairs at his old club.<\/p>\n

Speaking on The Overlap’s Stick To Football<\/em> podcast, Keane believes that current manager Erik ten Hag<\/a> lacks the necessary power and control to effectively lead the team.<\/p>\n

“They’re not gonna be asking me,” Keane said in response to Ian Wright’s suggestion of taking an interim role at the club. “They just wouldn’t… they just wouldn’t.”<\/p>\n

Keane pointed to the recent changes in Ten Hag’s coaching staff as evidence of the manager’s limited influence.<\/p>\n

“Players will look at the manager and go, ‘well, all your staff went in the summer. I didn’t see you fighting for any of them. You’re bringing more staff in.’ I just think it looks chaotic, doesn’t it?”<\/span><\/p>\n
